Just received my rejection. Best of luck to those who are still waiting to hear!
I can't decide if it's a good thing I haven't been rejected yet or my email is just on its way and I should prepare for disappointment
still in limbo... Complete since early august, neither rejected nor invited for an interview!!
Does anyone know when Weill Cornell second look weekend is?
urm 🙂
Here's the story...
I interviewed here in early September, as well as at 3 other schools. So far, I'm waitlisted at 1 (Georgetown) and rejected at another (Albert Einstein).
As much as I would like to get my hopes up for a Cornell acceptance come March-time, I feel like I'm not good enough for this school, even though I had a great interview day and absolutely loved this school.
Can I expect to be rejected in a month, or do I still stand a chance? It seems like most people who have interviewed at Cornell seem to have at least one acceptance under their belt...
Thanks, and good luck to everyone going through this crazy process!
Not a Cornell story, but my student host at Duke told me he had also been waitlisted at Georgetown, and basically every school he'd interviewed at. His first acceptance came in March, to Duke. Moral of the story: if they've chosen to interview you, then you stand a chance!
Do you guys know how many get accepted initially, waitlisted, etc...?
I was just offered an interview this afternoon. So excited to get a shot. They gave 4 available dates so I'm sure theyre still sending some out. Good luck to everyone waiting. Complete mid October, sent an update of publications last week.
I was accepted to Cornell back in December and really did enjoy visiting the campus. I am also considering a couple of other schools in NYC and was wondering what peoples thoughts are on Cornell and what are its advantages relative to lets say Mount Sinai and Columbia
Quote from last year's thread:
"I received an invite around mid-February and actually interviewed on the final day of interviews in March. (the calendar has been moved and no longer goes that late) I remember being so tired of interviewing but decided to give it a shot. I loved Cornell and was accepted 4 days later. I would've been totally happy with one of my other acceptances, but I'm really happy I went to Cornell. I know it's expensive, but you're definitely not wasting your time and not interviewing for the waitlist."
I was really happy to read that. Seems like we're on track with this poster's timeline. Hopefully we'll have his outcome too
Any ideas/speculation about when the big day is?
Also, I've been looking at the past data/threads/etc., and I've been wondering: if you interviewed in September (late September), but didn't receive an acceptance in December, does it mean that you're waitlisted or rejected?
It's REALLY hard to find someone who interviewed early and received an acceptance in March...
