I double checked the email and the time stamp was 1:10pm eastern time. Sorry for causing any unnecessary anxiety.
 
Notice how were are all sitting and staring. Over 50 people in this forum currently. Ahh the anxiousness .
 
Note to self - If you ever become a dean of admissions, set an exact day and time that decisions will be released, and inform interviewees when that will be.
 
Yeah, I really wish we had an idea....checking this thread hysterically every day is getting old. Good luck to everyone!!

A part of me wishes that the Geneva convention had addressed how inhumane applying to medical school in America is. Lol
 
I'm starting to think maybe decisions aren't coming out today...my status still says "Thanks for interviewing at WMC. The class is selected in mid-March and all decisions are mailed then."

Do we know from previous years or from people who already got accepted that the status changes right when the decision comes out? I wouldn't assume from that that decisions aren't coming out today otherwise...it sounds like the email could be the first notice.
But we should know within the hour about today at least!

Its all assumption from previous years release dates and times. They might even go until mid march 😕
 
Well, 1:10 and has come and gone...The wait drags on!
 
It's hard to predict a time - In 2009-2010, March acceptances came after after 3:00pm, in 2010-2011, they came around 9:00am, and this year's December acceptances came around 1:00pm... so basically, it's arbitrary. All we can do is sit tight, and hope for the best!
 
I called and asked. The Dean of Admissions hasn't informed the office when the acceptances will be ready. I'm assuming not today. I'd imagine the office would know if it was today. Or, they'll come out in the next 2 minutes and I'll have been mislead by another admissions office : )
 
I debated posting this here because I don't want to stress everyone out any more...

But, I was accepted back in December and I got an email this morning about the orientation website being ready. It has all the financial aid docs and a forum where you can communicate with current students. I got my login info, so it seems I can go on there and start orienting...

I have no idea what this means for when acceptances will be released, but I would guess that they are almost ready since this orientation site is set up and ready to go. The email was sent at 10:36...unfortunately, my school email has issues with timestamps. I'm in PST but I have an email from my school that's stamped 1h 5m ahead of the time it is now. So, I can't say with any certainty what time the orientation website email actually was sent to me. Sorry!

Looking back at what I wrote, this seems like almost useless information...again, I don't mean to stress anyone out.

So decisions are very likely not going to be sent out today. Ready to do this again tomorrow?
 
hmmm maybe i'll just withdraw. say they took too long and i've settled on another school. really seize back the control in this relationship.

I think this application process will help me appreciate Match Day–one day, all the cards on the table–no refreshing email every thirteen seconds for months on end, or setting SDN threads to auto-refresh. Anyway, best of luck today peeps!

Hoping and PRAYING for some good news. I cannot take this waiting! Does someone want to call admissions and ask if they know anything re: a release date? I'm stuck in class until 5 PM 🙁. Anyone want to call?
 
I think a couple of people have already called, and their answers varied-"Hopefully by the end of the month", and "We don't know when the Dean will be delivering the decisions".

Frustrating days. I can't stop myself from waisting this time.
 
Yeah, I'm feeling like it's going to be tomorrow, or actually "mid-march".
 
During my interview day last week, an M1 student told me that decisions are coming out March 15. But I didn't ask anyone else to confirm, so this date might not be true.

Interesting, but considering the admissions staff says the dean hasn't told them a date, I find it highly unlikely that a student would know this information. Either that or the admissions staff is flat out lying. Plus the 15th would be very late compared to their history. Then again, it's already pretty late.

Man, I was hoping I'd know about Cornell by now. They sure are taking their time this year. :scared:

Yeah I found it weird that the guy would know such specific information, given that the group of students we were with wasn't part of the admissions process. But he seemed pretty confident. We'll see, I guess. Again, I apologize if this is wrong information, but just sharing what I know.

"Beware the Ides of March"....Shakespeare was warning us about You, Cornell. It turns out that the quote actually had nothing to do with Julius Ceasar.
 
Well, today probably isn't gonna happen.. there's always Monday! 🙂

I'm also waiting on Emory and I am reeally glad I don't have to go through this with them at all. They tell you upfront which dates they release acceptance letters.
 
Called them a few minutes ago and the woman I spoke with said they still don't have word from the Dean. She said she has "no idea" and I said, "could it be at the END of the month??" to which she replied, "I have no idea."

The only thing that she was sure about was that all communication will come via e-mail.

useless phone call....
 
Weird... I wonder what the deal is thats making them release acceptances so late this time around compared to past years. Are there any other nonrolling schools that haven't sent out acceptances yet?

Oh well... here's to next week!

Yale and Penn are next week, but that's been by and large expected. With Cornell it looks like no one has any idea.
 
Let the games begin... again lol

We'll probably find out sometime next week I imagine, though nothing is for certain.
