The wait sucks.. But where will you guys end up going if cornell doesn't work out?

Still figuring that out. Hoping that WC pulls through, though.

On another note, it seems like the admissions process is slower this year than last. (noticed after creeping on old threads-ha, I really need some time away from SDN.

A friend called and was told that the class is full and that they haven't used the waitlist yet. I'm definitely not keeping my hopes up at this point....
Yeah, was starting to get that feeling. Thanks for the heads-up.

No more wL movement? 🙁

Judging from the Facebook group, I think about 15 people have been accepted off of the waitlist in the past two weeks. Maybe a few more acceptances will trickle out. Good luck guys. (mini study- 1 in 15 posts his/her acceptance here)

I just got off the wait-list yesterday (June 6th)!! I debated whether or not to post, because I know for me it was kind of difficult to read about other people getting accepted to my dream school. But at the same time I was also happy for them and it gave me hope, so here we are! I interviewed late (in December), and after being wait-listed I sent in 2 update letters via email to [email protected]. The last one I sent was on May 25th. I have no idea if the update letter affected anything (it would seem so by the timing, but what do I know?), but in my opinion, if you have significant updates, you should send them.

Also I just wanted to say to those of you who are still waiting to be admitted or waiting to be admitted somewhere "better," I really truly wish you the best of luck. But also, I know that if you are a studentdoctor frequenter, and especially if you are stalking this thread, you are probably extremely dedicated and extremely bright. So if you've decided that you want to become a doctor, you're going to become a doctor, and a damn good one too. Because if you have that talent and that drive, it doesn't matter how many times it takes for you to get into medical school or which medical school you go to--if you really want to do great things, you will. Sure I'm excited and grateful to get into Cornell. It's a fantastic school that will make it that much easier for me to do all the things I want to do. But I truly believe that I would have been able to reach those same goals at any other school too. I guess what I'm trying to say is that even if you don't get into Cornell or Columbia or Yale, that doesn't mean that you've failed or that you're not going to become a great physician. I just wanted to say that because it took me a long time to accept, and I could have really used a reminder more than a few times during this whole crazy process.

Good night and good luck, my future colleagues 🙂

This was a great post. Thanks for the words of encouragement for us current wait-listers. And congrats!!! Have a blast in NYC!

Any waitlist movement going on here lately?

On a side note, my status went to "Your application is incomplete. You have not submitted a secondary application and we have not received your letters of evaluation" again.

Anyone else get this?
