Just trying to stay in the loop. Complete 9/24. No news, but crossing fingers.

Northwestern is moreso in Streeterville, not in the loop.. 😉

any other LGBT'ers with interview invitations thinking about participating in Reach OUT while at NU? It's something I'm interested in..

congrats! when were you complete?

August 27th if my records are right.

I'll be attending the 10/29 interview day--the site gives you a choice of several days, all of which seemed to be MWF. Just quite surprised to be interviewed, especially coming off of a pair of rejections.

II Don't remember when, I just forgot to post on the SDN ! LOL New to posting. :luck:

II few days ago! submitted sec app 10-12 of september?

Submitted: 9/17

Did they say anything about whether your group would be a part of the November selection group? I wonder which is the latest interview group to be considered for November admissions. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until February.

When I got my II, the schedule allowed me to book it 3 days from when I got the II.

PS - The acronym is NU (Northwestern University), not NW.

How did the interview go? And may I ask about your stats? 😳

Can anyone who's interviewed here comment on the panel experience? Was it relaxed or intimidating/stressful? I'm so nervous for mine!

just submitted my primary few days ago...

could someone tell me how long it takes for them to ping back w/ secondary info?

Not stressful at all. Just go in there and have a good time with your fellow applicants. That's how I approached it and how it was.

Yeah, the panel interview was the one part of the day I was really stressing about. I was worried that the other people in my group would like, judge me for what I was saying or that I would slip up under the pressure of so many ears. Turned out to be one of the best interview experiences I've had. It was such an informal conversation. The three interviewers all hit it off well with each other and were joking around when we (the interviewees) entered the room, and that helped us all calm down a bit before starting. It's actually really fun to hear what your potential classmates have to say, and I feel like I know the two people who interviewed with me really well now. The questions you get asked are also pretty low key; nothing too deep (check out the Interview Feedback page on SDN for example questions; they reuse a lot of them). So, long story short, don't stress about it. You'll have a good time! 🙂

I was also nervous for the panel interview, and I guess that this is what I felt about it:

1) Overall, it is a lot less stressful than you are expecting. However, with my group AND according to some other groups, it was interesting to see how one student usually got asked the tougher questions. I felt like one guy in my group got hammered, while I felt like mine were pretty easy.

2) PLEASE GOD learn how to answer the "Tell us about yourself" question, in a polite/interesting manner but also giving them specific details. It is a CLOSED interview, and so the only way that they will know how to ask questions about what makes you unique and interesting is if you bring it up. One guy in my group went on about his family, one medical trip he took, and a sport that he focused on his whole life. Big surprise, the interviewers didn't have a lot to go on, and he got more "tell me about a time" or ethical questions.

3) I wrote things down when everyone spoke. I don't know if this is good or bad, but I am a note-taker, and it helped me think of questions to ask the interviewers at the end/ worked well in organizing our group question response.

Overall, I felt like the panel interview was a good test for the school to see how an applicant fits with PBL learning. I loved it.

how receptive is this school to an "in the area" email? i have an interview at pritzker and do not want to pay for two flights to chicago

I submitted my secondary 9/5... Is it still early? Should I send in a LOI soon? My stats are not quite up to par with NU standards, but I'm still hopeful!

PS: Does anyone know the range of GPA's and MCAT scores Feinberg has accepted?

submitting secondary 9/5 seems a little too soon for any sort of LOI..

I've heard that FSM is generally not really receptive, but I could be wrong, and I've also heard that it doesn't really hurt to try 😳.

They said 6 weeks

any interviews lately? getting antsy and it's only been less than a month. alas, the effect of SDN.

should I even submit the secondary for this school? I havent even started because I have been busy with interviews.

I sent them an email because I was in the same boat. They told me they couldn't do anything until they offered me an interview, but then I got one the very next day.... It doesn't hurt to try.

Edit: I quoted the wrong post. I was answering the guy who originally asked about ITA emails.

I sent an ITA email (about 2-3 weeks ago), also, but they haven't offered me an interview. But it doesn't matter now since I'm out of the area. I'm pretty sure I'm getting rejected.

It seems like it's been pretty quiet in this thread regarding interview invites. Anyone who completed mid-late Sept getting interview invites?

Still waiting here as well. Complete 9/18. They probably haven't gotten to us yet.
