This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hey guys Accepted today!! letter dated January 15! i interviewed in Indianapolis Nov 12! whats the name of the facebook group?
Congrats! Where did the letter arrive so we can gauge when we should expect ours to arrive if they were sent? Or at least, how far are you from Indy?

Thanks for letting us know. Maybe those of us who are out-of-state just need to wait a little longer... congrats again!

From what I've heard only 174 people have been accepted so far and 62 acceptance letters went out Thursday! Keep hope alive! Because of tomorrow's holiday maybe check on Tuesday!

Does anyone understand the new grading system being used for the entering class? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Accepted out of state today, I live a couple hours away if that helps anyone!

How did you have mail today? It's a holiday, just checked USPS's website, they don't deliver today.

Congrats tho!

Hi, been viewing the thread here for a couple of months to get a sense of the acceptance rate, process, timeline, etc

Figured I'd put out a little information that others might find useful...

IS, 3rd year applying, MCATs: 24, 28, 31, gpa 3.42, master's degree, interviewed 10-1, acceptance today

Was this the first time you interviewed with Indiana University?

Status changed to "Under Consideration" today. I interviewed early this month. Anyone else have this change or have most people been under consideration since their interview dates? I know it probably means nothing except I'll be reviewed later, but thought I'd ask in case it could signify something else.

Yes, first interview... submitted my amcas the first week of June (verified fairly quick) and received an II in early Sept. However, the most recent MCAT scores didn't post until late Sept.

It just means your file is complete (interviewed and paperwork is in) and will be reviewed by adcom. It only changes from "under consideration" when they have made a decision (acceptance or etc).

What was your interview date?

Interviewing Feb 11  anyone else?
Me too! I wonder if its even worth going though, I live 10 hrs away and I'm not sure how many spots are still available and if its too late in the cycle...can anyone offer some advice?

Is it your top choice? Is it your only interview or do you have acceptances elsewhere? I think it depends. If you have acceptances already to places that are more attractive than indiana for whatever reason, then maybe think on it for a bit and weigh your options 🙂

I heard the campus placement come out sometime in April? Does the second lottery take place in April as well?

For those accepted, do we wait until the portal changes to accepted before we ask about an IU ID? So far, all I've done is mail the letter.

Yes there are instructions on the portal page on how to set up and verify your IU account and they have an assigned ID # for you.
