Thanks for the info! I haven't been given a location or date yet but I'll try and request gary. Does it take awhile for them to give you an interview date?

when i requested my location, it took about a week and half to get a interview date and the date i got was 13 days away. my friend got a date within 1-2 weeks also

It's that decision time of the month again!! If anyone gets any "dear accepted student" emails from the financial aid office please post 🙂

Ah!! I wish I was in the running. Still waiting on one letter of rec to be processed 🙁

awe that's where I was last month, my last letter got processed the day the first round of admissions went out. Try emailing them? I know I had an extra letter and that's what caused the delay in processing

Yup, I just got an email today saying my file is complete! 🙂 But my file status is still in process. About how long did it take for your file to go from "in process" to "under consideration" after your last letter got processed?

I think I went straight to Under Consideration once they processed my last letter. At most, it took a day cuz I was checking the portal daily...

Can someone post a link to the portal to check the application status?

Does anyone know if November 5th interviewees are under consideration for this months acceptance? I was told that we were being considered the day of the interview, but in the past, it doesn't appear that anyone gets considered until the following month.

There are a lot of questions about the online portal. From everything that I've heard and read, the portal is updated when a secretary gets around to it. My status went from having all documents outstanding to having everything complete in one day. As far as the internal review is concerned, I don't believe that there is any correlation between the portal and committee's decision making process. Sources include past SDN posts and speaking with the admissions office directly. Additionally, during the information session, we were told if the portal doesn't show complete to make sure you submit all outstanding paperwork... Meaning, there were II's without completed docs.

Good luck to everyone going through this gut wrenching process! The waiting is the hardest part.

I don't think November is under consideration. No one from October heard anything yet.

When I try to log onto the portal I only get a message saying "at this time no action has been taken on your application," and don't get another interface or screen.

I've been complete for over two months. Any ideas what's up?

Their office hasn't caught up to the August completions. Probably nothing bad, just running behind. Try calling and bumping them along.

Accepted! Attending IUSM's rural medicine program in Terre Haute. Dream come true! Interviewed on Oct. 8

I am applying to the rural program as well, but I thought that there was a special interview date for that in Feb/March that comes after the traditional interview. I'm assuming that I was incorrect. Could you do me a huge favor and shed some light on this?

I applied pretty early to just IUSM and they told me that my application was flagged as a good applicant to their rural medicine program. They told me that if I sent in my rural application early enough they were interviewing individuals early in October. I don't believe they interview individuals often for the rural program because it requires both traditional and rural interviewing committees and the class size is capped at 12.

Okay, that makes perfect sense then as I have been awaiting an interview date for quite awhile (I sort of assumed it was due to the dual committee interview). Thanks for the response and congratulations on your acceptance! Hope to join you in Terre Haute!

Interviewed 10/8 as well. Nothing here yet (East Coast).

To All those getting accepted did you guys get the early finaid email?

No news here in Cincinnati, interviewed first week of October. Not sure if my mail service just sucks, or if I gotta wait another month =(.

Does anyone know how we rank campuses? Does it show up on the portal when it switches to accepted?

I'm starting to think my Indiana interview was not the slam-dunk I thought it was. Lol!

Has anyone actually received a post-II rejection yet?

Just switched to under consideration this morning! I guess it's the waiting game for me now.
