Has anyone received any post-interview rejections yet? They don't do that until the end of the cycle, correct?
 
Hey guys! I'm a long time lurker and have been going through this forum as well as the past year's forum. I've recently been accepted to IUSM. I'm IS and received the letter of acceptance on 11/17. To those who have been previously accepted, or have knowledge on this topic... What now!? What are the next steps that are necessary for the process? I have yet to receive an email from the the admissions office, but the additional components of the acceptance letter directed to visit some links. Namely about technical standards, and within those links I'm finding trouble to find clarity of actually what additional documents are needed, immunization records, or simply...WHATS NEXT??
 
So something odd just happened to me.. i got an Accepted student general information letter... but no formal accetance letter, nor email or any other status change... My portal stills says under consideration... and like i said.. i received no email... Did they send this by mistake?? Or is this how they usually do it?!

EDIT: nevermind, i didnt see the formal acceptance letter inside the envelope... being tired from all my senior undergrad stuff :/

Congrats!! Are you IS or OOS, if you don't mind me asking?
 
Received a II and interview invite yesterday. I am in state and I received my Application Receipt Notification on 9/4.

II means interview invite, not secondary. 🙂 Congrats!
 
Does anyone know how to send your decision to the offer? Are we supposed to type like a document and send it with the envelope they provided? thank you in advance.

I actually emailed admissions and that's what I was told do by admissions. She didn't give details as to how it should read or anything so I'm hoping "ACCEPT!!!!" works just fine. Congratulations.

I received a secondary last week, which hopefully means I will be getting an interview date soon. I have a couple questions regarding the interview. Was the interview open or closed file? Was the interview a more relaxed or stressed style interview? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the quick response. What is the format of the interview (e.g.. 1-on-1, Multiple mini, etc)?
 
I'm interviewing at Fort Wayne. Did either of you interview there?

They try to make all of the interviews 2 on 1 but one of them may get called out (on-call, other duties, etc) making a 1 on 1 situation. I interviewed at IU NW and had a 2 on 1 interview.
 
For those who have been accepted, where/how do you get the ten digit ID#? How do you enter into the campus lottery thing?
Also, how do you accept the acceptance? (there was no form to fill out in the package, just a return letter...please help).

Lol. So you type up a letter and send it in with envelope inside acceptance letter. For Id call admission. Then it just takes about a week for the account to update so you can log in through credentials instead of application. Then that's where and when we would be able to rank campus!!
 
So I know the committee sends out decisions around the 15th of the month, but when do they actually meet? Planning on sending in a LOI to be added to my application after interviewing two weeks ago. Is it too late to do this?
 
Sorry for being repetitive/paranoid, but has anyone here waited for over a month to receive an interview date? My invite came near the end of October, and it's been silence since. Thanks!

I was kinda in the same boat and was told by someone from admissions that the next round of interview dates to be given out won't be until next semester, so I'd say that you will be getting a date soon. I have some more info that you may want to know, but I don't wanna throw it all out on here...PM me if so.

Thanks for replying! I finally just got scheduled today, and you're right, it's for January.
 
Accepted students: How do you login with the IU network credentials? I tried to login in with the passphrase but it seems like it isn't working for me.

Edit: Nevermind I think I got it, hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving week with family and friends!

My understanding is that interviews are generally the 1st and 2nd Wednesday of the month, and the committee meets the 3rd and/or 4th Wednesday of the month - this is only what I heard from one person; if anyone can dispel this rumor (aka if you have interviewed the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of any month), please say so! =)
 
I'm new to SDN and I applied to IU as an out of state applicant. Anyone care to fill me in on interview dates, logistics, or any other useful information that'll ease the wait for a response? I applied a bit late because my pre-health advisers mixed up my TMDSAS with my AMCAS.... stats : 3.9/28
 
Received supplemental materials on 10/24. Yesterday (11/26) got invited to interview at Terre Haute campus for Rural Medicine Program on 01/14 😀. GPA: 3.5 MCAT: 30

I'm having the same issue. :O Though I just registered for an IU account yesterday and I heard it takes a few days to process?

Yea, based on the application threads for this/last year, it seems like no one has had an interview on the third week. I have seen dates for the first, second and fourth week. But it only takes one to dispel this theory lol.
