2014-2015 Quinnipiac University Application Thread

Did anyone else get a call from the school this morning...? I have been complete since 7/8 and haven't heard a peep and then I missed a call this morning and just listened to the voicemail- it was someone from Quinnipiac and all they said is that they would call back later. Ahhhh!! Are all the IIs given via email? My status also hasn't changed online...

That's definitely unique and out of the ordinary!

Edit: They said if you interviewed in August for example, you should expect your decision on October 15th, or within a week from that date. The only possible delay would be if neither of the two interviewers can make it to an admissions committee meeting. They said they require at least 1/2 present to do a full evaluation and vote.

Did you ask about your decision? A friend applied last year and said that his interviewer incouraged him to call after 4 weeks and ask. EVMS has had a similar policy in the past I believe
 
anyone else interviewing on the 10/24 that is flying in and may want to share a room/car rental/taxi/limo etc. PM me.

I'm always impressed by people who get accepted after already applying in previous cycles. To some schools it may show that someone is unfit for medical school, but honestly it only shows resilience and drive no matter what obstacles come in your way. Congratulations and I am sure you will go far!

Thank you for your kind words. Failing is sometimes required in order to become more mature and focused.
 
Congrats to all who were accepted! I am looking forward to interviewing here soon 🙂 any advice for or comments on interview day?

I've been lurking around for awhile, this is my first post. Anyway, I have recently received an interview invite and I am wondering...do they give you only three possible dates? Do you have to chose from only those dates? I'm sorry if this has been addressed before.

Also, any current students: I do have a few questions that I'd love to have input on. If anyone would be willing to let me PM a few questions, I'd really appreciate it.

I am not going to post any stats, since there is ample data for analyzing that 🙂. Getting an II is based upon so many factors besides MCAT and GPA--don't forget it!

Congratulations on your II! Would you mind posting your approximate complete date? I was complete late August, so I'm just trying to gauge my panic level haha.
