You think they're lying to you?Did anyone from the 9/29 interview date or earlier NOT hear back yet? I just called this morning and they told me that they haven't met to talk about my application yet, which just seems a little unusual to hear as there are people in here posting later interview dates with decision updates. It might just be that they're going over the applications in a random order every week, but I'm getting nervous this may be some bad news...

On my interview day, they told us that they don't necessarily send out decisions in the order that people were interviewed, because at least one interviewer has to be at the committee meeting to present the candidate. So it is likely that your interviewer wasn't able to make any of the recent meetings which is holding up your decision. Try not to over-analyze it, and try (I know it's hard) to be patient!
Got it, I misunderstood. 🙂No? I didn't mean to insinuate that they were. I might be letting neuroticism take over.
Congrats!! When were you complete?II this morning! 🙂 Finally something after a very long dry spell 😀
I submitted July 8, so I assume somewhere around then (I had my letters already in, etc.). Stats: 30 MCAT, 3.9cGPA, 3.8 sGPACongrats!! When were you complete?
Their website is one of the best that I've seen. I recommend you explore the site some. Some things I liked about QU are the independent project and the MeSH program.I submitted July 8, so I assume somewhere around then (I had my letters already in, etc.). Stats: 30 MCAT, 3.9cGPA, 3.8 sGPA
Can anyone elaborate on this school? I haven't heard much of it but would love to look into it. 🙂

It's new as you likely know, we'd be the 3rd class to attend were you or I to matriculate. I interviewed there the other day. Everyone that spoke to us seemed extremely devoted toward doing everything they can to create doctors for the modern medical milieu, actually some of it reminded me of osteopathy minus the OMT stuff, there was some non-religious mind/body/spirit talk, and they seem to have a devotion to holistic, patient focused medicine, inter-professional co-operation, and medical humanities that is embedded into medical education in a much deeper way than any of there other schools I interviewed at. It seems truly progressive. A lot of the professors came because they really want to teach and many we met, including my interviewer were poached from Yale med school. Students participate in a 3 year long research project with decent funding, but bench/traditional/clinical med research is only one dimension, one student apparently is making a documentary, I heard about projects in medical ethics/law/humanities social medicine, anthro type projects etc. All in all I was really impressed, and honestly went in sort of skeptical.I submitted July 8, so I assume somewhere around then (I had my letters already in, etc.). Thank you for that insight! Was there anything else that stood out to you about the school? It's new as you likely know, we'd be the 3rd class to attend were you or I to matriculate. It seems like most of the schools I interviewed at and researched have a pretty solid idea of what they need to do to train the doctors of tomorrow, but all the others were old schools and have their internal traditions to deal with so Quinnipiac actually seemed like the way most schools present themselves on their website, regarding what I wrote above. The teachers are primarily teachers and not researchers, so the students seem to get a ton of attention, also the school is extremely interested in the students doing well since these first classes will set the rep of the school, so they buy qbank and kaplan and offer other resources for their students trying to make sure they do well on STEP1. The main thing that stood out to me was that everyone I spoke with had a pretty prestigious rep in the medical field, and all the adcom members that spoke with us seemed really down to earth and had a very philosophical and almost poetic way about speaking about medicine. I found myself shaking my head a lot in a kind of deeper than details way. This is all extremely subjective feelings based I know, but that's what stood out FWIW. They are new though that's the only thing, so it's a risk, but nothing there gave me further pause and much inspired confidence in their new program.Thank you for that insight! Was there anything else that stood out to you about the school?
Not to be invasive, but why is this school one of your top choices? (Just looking for information on the benefits of this school over others).I completed my secondary around mid August. I am very interested in this school (one of my very top choices), but I haven't heard back for an interview. Is there a way I could write a letter of interest? Would I submit that to the online application if I did, or would I probably want to contact admissions or even the dean? Thanks!

Have people been rejected post-secondary pre-interview?
Also, I just got an email from them about my application still being under review...literally peed myself a little.

So if I didn't get that email does that mean I'm not still under review.....?
Do they do silent rejections?
This is the email that most of us just got. I'd say it's just a cute little status update to say "sup. thanks for waiting and stuff. Ttyl bro."how common is this email?:
"We understand that you are eager to hear additional information regarding your application to the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine.
Having received more than 7,000 applications for the 2015 entering class, we are working hard to evaluate the applications as expeditiously as possible while ensuring each application is given fair and thorough consideration.
Our interview schedule will continue into March and invitations will continue to be extended accordingly during the coming months. If you have yet to hear from us, please know that your application remains under consideration."
Is this good news??
Read the comments directly above. A few of us received this e-mail. I believe it is implying that they received an unprecedented number of applications this year and they are doing their best to review each application. I'd imagine that people were getting impatient and beginning to contact them regularly about their respective status; this e-mail is probably meant to calm the frustrations.how common is this email?:
