Oh my god. Acceptance call received like 15 minutes ago. I interviewed Oct 7th.

Brb, need to go die of a heart attack.
wow. wow. wow. I'm happy for you. This makes me happy too, maybe I'm not yet out of the race---Interviewed a couple weeks after you. But of course, I would also be looking out for my WL mail.

Yeah, I had totally resigned myself to a WL. The Dean said that they were running behind on committee meetings, so who knows! Don't give up hope!

Just got a snail mail rejection letter, pre-interview. Wasn't really expecting any other outcome, except maybe a rejection email! 🙂 Their loss.

Would you mind sharing a postmarked date? I live in the midwest... Want to know when I should start checking my mail for the same letter. Lol.

Lol, the letter is postmarked January 14. I live in the Midwest as well, so maybe you won't get such a letter if it hasn't come already? Hopefully?

Good luck to you and everyone else! 🙂

At least they told you. Don't a lot of schools not even tell you till the very end?

The WL letter says to not expect any movement until May (presumably after the April 30 declaration date.) Does anyone know if there's precedent for WL movement before the declaration date?

Given that Stanford is rolling, it seems like they have more flexibility between when to stop offering more new IIs vs. starting to take people off the WL.

Pre-interview rejection via snail mail. Letter is written on 1/13

Do you guys know how much longer Stanford will be sending out interview invites?
Last year they held interviews until the end of march officially. I also seem to recall seeing someone mention a may 6th interview date...

Can anyone tell me if invitations to interview also come through post mail or do they come through email?

Did any one of you have an interview today? I work at Stanford SOM, and I saw a group of people dressed formally. I wonder if they were interviewees.

Do you guys know how Stanford views multiple MCAT scores? Do they take the highest score or most recent score? I couldn't find this piece of information on their website.

Pretty sure this is now officially residency interview season. I work at UC Davis SOM research and yesterday I saw a flood of 'em: less flustered, and more professional without looking like they're trying too hard!

Haha, that's a possibility. One day I ran into a group of well dressed peep at the institution that I used to work for who were taking the elevators with me. Of course they were interviewing, so I commented that I was in the same process as well and that the group looked exceptionally mature. Until someone asked me "so you are interviewing for ophthalmology as well?" "ugh...no......med school.....".

When does Stanford send out mass rejection letters? I saw a few people get rejected earlier, but it seems strange that they apparently sent out so few.
I don't think anyone really knows, unless you call. Last year, it seemed the mass rejection letters were postmarked early Jan and people received them early-mid Jan. We've already passed those dates by a fair amount.

I want to know as well. Any new II's lately? Rejections at least?

Yeah I see that but has someone really gotten a interview there in April in the recent years?

My friend had an interview at Stanford in April 4 years ago...

There was an early May interview day last year, IIRC.

Well that's still good news then. Thanks for the help!!

Is stanford still sending interviews?
Check your e-mail correspondences...

"1. Invitations to interview are made from August through April. Our interview season is from September through April."

Thanks for the information.

Received an email with Admit Weekend (second look) registration. In case anyone is wondering how to potentially fit it in with one of the many other second looks on the same weekend, it's from 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 9 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 11.

Stats /complete?
