For those of you with CT II’s how did you approach the “Areas of Improvement” paragraph?
I’m not sure if it is asking for a personality trait I would like to improve, or if something like eating healthier would be appropriate.

So I just got the weirdest thing. UT rejected me by email this morning, but when I checked the portal, it says there's no status update for UT, and there was an II from CT. But there's no II email from CT. Could this be an error?

EDIT: there's was a second email at the same time from saying "your status has been updated", but I didn't notice earlier that it was signed by CT's Dean. So I am really hoping the CT II is real :xf: But that still doesn't explain why there's no UT rejection on the portal...

For the people who have gotten an II or rejection, when were you complete?

I'd do the back-to-back, Cleveland is a small city and there's really no reason to visit twice 😛 I definitely have some recommendations for places to visit, if anyone is interested!

Hmmm I was complete on 7/16 as well. I wonder if they're going in order...
 
I got a rejection from UT this morning and a status change email from CT, but when I log on to the secondary both say that there are no messages at this time. Anybody who has had some sort of status change, did it take time for the portal to update after they sent emails?
 
Now that I know you just get an email telling you to check your status on the portal, I am neurotically checking the portal even more than I was before.

Haha that is one of the many reasons I want to go to Case, all the Case students I've talked to have said that it's a collaborative rather than a competitive environment because it's P/F and there's no rankings. I feel like that would help to decrease my neurotic and obsessive behaviors.

For UT the email subject was status change but the actual content included the interview invite.
 
Hoping for some advice from those with IIs...
Did any of you guys have a greatest personal challenge essays that were short of the 3500 character limit?
I feel like I can say what I need to in about 2500 but I'm wondering if it will come off negatively...

Mine was about ~2800 characters but I am also not complete either…

What I have heard though is as long as you use over 50% of the character limit you are fine. They would rather a succinct essay than one filled with fluff and seems to ramble on. Just my 0.02 cents though

I tried that mental plea a few days ago, no luck. But then, the 21st is a bigger landmark than the quarter-century, so maybe they'll respond to yours!
 
OMG...Finally submitted!
By far, my greatest personal challenge has been completing the greatest personal challenge essay! I guess I can write about that when I get rejected and re-apply next year 😛

How long does it usually take to get marked complete around this point in the cycle?

Took me about a week to get verified and a week and two days to be invited to apply for their nurse anesthetist program. I see what you did there Case ....
 
Hey guys,

In the recent Acing Your Interview by AAMC, Lina Mehta from Case Western was a panelist and provided some great tips on interviewing at Case. Just for those who have received the interview, it would be a good 15 minute audio to gain any further insight into this process.

Side note, in that talk Case came across as a super chill place to interview at/attend! Now I reallly want to hear back from them!!

Anywhere we can find the audio online? Google has been unproductive so far.
 
I got a "status notification change" email, but when I went to check my status, there was no change. Has this happened to anyone else?

EDIT: Guess it was just a delay. CT rejection :hurting:

QFT. My interviewer bought me tea during my own interview last year.

QFT too. We have a ton of group work. I should stop procrastinating now and get back to preparing for aforementioned group work.
 
So is anyone else interviewing on October 9th?
 
CT rejection today 9/4, complete 7/20. Oh well, it was worth a shot, still hoping for a UT II. Best of luck everyone!
 
I submitted (with payment) on 8/26, but I'm still not marked complete, anyone in the same boat?
 
Been done since 7/23, no II but haven't been rejected

It could be worse I guess haha
