2015-2016 Dartmouth College (Geisel) Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Rejected pre-II just now, complete in mid September. Not really bummed as this was a big reach anyways. Good luck to those still holding out for good news!

I believe I was complete sometime in early or mid-August. It doesn't seem like completion date is all that predictive of when you hear back.

Edit: Just found my complete email, it was actually late July
Thanks 🙂 You're probably right the date doesn't matter but makes me feel better lol.

Still waiting, complete in early September... can't believe I haven't been rejected yet, but I guess that's a good thing??

Should thank you cards be addressed to the admissions office?

Withdrew my application yesterday post-II, hopefully if there are any of you still hoping for an interview it goes to you all! Good luck!

Any idea if there have been a lot of pre-II rejections? Or do they hold off and do most rejections later?

The wait continues... Completed mid-September. No news.

Hang tight guys!!! I hope good news comes to you in the next few weeks.

Does anyone know what it means if we havnt been rejected yet? Have we been reviewed preliminarily and set aside for later review, or has our file still not been opened?

They re-review throughout the cycle (I believe there's 4 screeners). If you haven't been rejected that's a good thing. Just need to sit back and see what happens at this point my friend.

For those who have interviewed, what time are you done with the day? Is the tour of the medical site at 3:30 optional? I'm trying to plan my Coach ticket departure times.

My tour was of the actual academic facilities/classrooms (the hospital tour is halfway through interview day though). It is optional but I'd recommend it

I see - I definitely want to be on all available tours, but I also want to catch the Coach at 5pm and not have to spend an extra expensive night! Thanks for the info.

The tour will take less than half an hour. You would definitely be able to catch the 5pm Coach. Hanover Inn is a short 10-minute walk from the Admissions Office.

Highly likely to be matriculating. Don't know how I could say no lol

Is this place as isolated as I've heard? It's the main reason I've lost interest :/.

Also do we just send update letters to the admission board? I don't see a way to upload online
