2015-2016 Howard University Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Is the email with the subject title "Secondary has been received/screened" the complete email? Or just the receipt email? This is the first correspondence that I've gotten since submitting.

It also says "all of your documents have been received and a preliminary review has taken place". Can someone who has received a complete email let me know.

I received the same email as well...the fact that interview protocol is included must mean we aren't out the game

I really wish their review process made more sense lol. They're all over the place.

When did you submit?

Submitted 9/11. I know that was late compared to many people on here but I had to add the school late on in the process

Thank you everyone, I have submitted on 8/23 but have not heard a peep yet! It is my number one choice since I am from the area...

just wondering if my application was put into the rejection pile, e-mails of which are coming out may be at the end of the month, but I will call on Thursday to find out for sure

"In addition, you should review the Medical School Admissions Requirements information available on the AMCAS site. With respect to the scoring of the new MCAT we will be paying close attention to the percentile rankings. For instance, a score of 500 ranks an applicant in the 50th percentile. Our average MCAT score for the previous years test was 27 - or the 61.5 percentile".

According to the email sent with the secondary link

Is anybody else calling admissions today? I called like 50 times from 4 different phones, but there is no response... I wonder if they are all off and at the National Mall, because the pope is in town 😡

9/13, for the MD-PhD program
I have been trying to contact the MD PhD program to send a statement of interest and cv is that how you applied to MDPhD after sending your secondary? The MDPhD website is very....vague

Didn't you designate the MD-PhD program in AMCAS? I might have foolishly believed that that's all I need to do. Alternatively, you can get in touch with admissions and see if you're missing something. That's probably what I will do next week.

Hmmm. Thanks after reading the MDPhD website I thought I had to send in extra things. I'll just call in to check.

Thanks!

Which means to be competitive you have to score above 61.5%
