Did it say that you could call when the decision is made?

It took about a month for me to receive my acceptance but it was delayed by all the snow.

Yes, it said that I could call once I'm informed that the letter is signed. I was just wondering how long before the letter is signed, and I can find out my final status. And congrats to you!

Thanks! I'm sure you'll hear something within the next few weeks. And since they said you could call, I'm sure it'll be good news!

I interviewed in January and I'm over the month mark. I've called a few times but no one ever answers. LOL. But it is what it is... Im in limbo for both Morehouse and Howard, I called Morehouse they haven't made a decision yet, I interviewed in Dec. It's a beast, but I know most of us probably have that Type A personality so it's hard, but that decision is on the way... I know one way or another, knowing whether it's yes or no I did my best... I feel like my interviews were amazing, so there is nothing more to do but be patient to all those waiting... We will find out soon guys 🙂

I'm glad you said you were in the January 13th interview group, that makes me feel a little better that I haven't heard anything. I was however able to get in touch with Ms. Walk and she said if I haven't heard anything by this week to call her. I don't know if this means our group hasn't gone into committee yet or what, but I would call her. I was able to get in contact with her (shockingly she picked up after only 2 rings) at 2:00pm Eastern Time on Thursday. Don't call the general number, call the number from the interview invitation email. I hope this post was helpful 🙂
 
Hello all,

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted and received an ii so far!! For the ones who are still waiting for an ii, I'm there with you!! I was actually able to get through to admissions today (surprisingly!!) and my app is still under review for interview consideration. In addition, they are doing interviews til May 2016 so their is hope alive for all of us!!

Does this school accept updates or letter of interest pre-interview invite? If so, how would I send it to them? Any help would be appreciated please!!! Thank you!!!

Yes, they do! They said to send all updates to the email address listed in your complete email, [email protected]. (However, I sent an update/interest letter a few weeks ago and they didn't respond/acknowledge it so I don't know how effective it is.)
 
True, but I'm just hoping that rejecting people will be as delayed as the rest of the cycle has been for Howard.
 
Hi all! I am planning to apply to Howard this coming cycle, Howard is one of my top choice schools! I was looking at the GPA range on MSAR and saw that Howard accepts student with a 2.9 cGPA and a 2.68 sGPA. But on the website, it says that they would only interview students with a 3.0 sGPA. Is the MSAR range incorrect?

Anecdotal, but I received an interview and acceptance with a cGPA of 3.0 and a sGPA of 2.9. I am however a non-traditional applicant with a high grad GPA and a decent MCAT score. While numbers certainly do matter, I think the biggest thing with Howard is your overall package as an applicant and whether you align with their mission statement. Good luck and get started with your app as soon as you can!

I received an e-mail on 2/22/2016 acknowledging that my secondary application and all documents have been received and undergone initial screening. The thing is, I submitted my secondary on 9/27/15. In the portal, the submitted button did not have a green check although my payment had been received. I e-mailed someone directly (because no one responded when I emailed the HCUM admissions e-mail). She told me she could see my application and secondary except the payment and wanted to know if I used an American issued credit card. I wrote back and told her my bank card was issued by J.P. Morgan Chase in the U.S., and that I am on American soil. I also provided copies of my payment confirmation from the portal as well as the transaction on my bank statement. Then, no one wrote back. Nothing was said. In the meantime, the secondary application portal stayed the same: no green check to show my secondary was submitted and nothing I tried to resubmit worked. I let it be. And then, the email came. It also said there will be updates in December. We are in February now. I know HUCM was having technical difficulties. I feel these difficulties may have robbed me of a chance to have an earlier review of my application. But, it is well.
 
So Happy for you. Maybe we will get some movement on the interview invite side today!
 
Well, I got accepted to Morehouse, so I might just open up a spot if I do get accepted... I interviewed in Jan, so I'm sure I'll hear something soon!
 
I think I am going to call Howard and ask them whats up. This silence is killing me
 
I am a Canadian applicant and submitted my secondary in early October (GPA ~3.8, MCAT 510). No word at all since, waiting on an interview hopefully. Any other Canadians in a similar position?

Hey guys!

Have any accepted students reached out to the financial aid department, or received any additional information regarding aid beyond what was in the acceptance packet?
