Can anybody who interviewed give me some insight about what type of questions they ask and also a feel of what interview day will be like?
The beginning started with an ice breaker to get to know your fellow interviewees and an introduction with Mrs. Walk (who's really nice btw). Then you take a tour to their newly built simulation center which is ridiculously nice and has pretty cool amenities such as laproscopic surgery simulators, dexterity machines, and patient simulator rooms. Afterwards interviews start and to be honest with you the questions they ask really depend on your interviewer. I got incredibly lucky and had the nicest/extremely encouraging interviewer. We had more of a conversation than an interview where he threw in the occasional why Howard, is there any specialty your interested in nothing too crazy at all. He did have my application in front of him and asked some application specific questions and I added some things I had done since I submitted my secondary which he wrote down so I highly suggest finding a way to work a faux application update in there if it applies. After we talked about what he does for a while and I asked a lot of questions about it and he seemed really honest and passionate while telling me the good and the not so good about Howard. A couple of other students and I had time to go to a first year class and talk to students which were all super welcoming and asked us about how were doing, where we from etc. Then we went on a tour by some first year students who you should ask any and all questions to. Finally we toured the anatomy lab and we finished the day with a financial aid presentation/overview of the 4 years including their latest match/step statistics.
Sorry if that was too long I wanted to be detailed and am procrastinating starting a take-home test.
