Just got my II! LizzyM 69-70 OOS, interviewing 10/9 so I don't miss too much school, only earlier date was 9/29.

II not too long ago! No interview slots until October.

LizzyM~68-69, Submitted 7/2/15

Anyone familiar with the area have suggestions on AirBnB vs hotel? I've actually never used AirBnB but it would be nice to save some money

Just go II. No interview slots until mid October.

MCAT 31. CGPA 3.65 SGPA 3.4 Submitted secondary 7/9/2015 OOS applicant. Re-applicant

Looking forward to this. Campus was beautiful when I visited.

For those interviewing, can y'all fill out the SDN interview feedback survey to help the rest of us out? QU is my first and only II so far. I got my first rejection today so I'm getting nervous...

Sure, I'll do it as soon as I can after I interview.

OOS II last night LizzyM ~70-71. I was complete some time in early July, so there's still hope for those of you who think you got passed up!

OOS II about a week ago. Complete 7/21 (or at least that's when I submitted my secondary), 71 LizzyM score.

I have friends that went to the other schools I have IIs at, so I'd love to hear from an M1 or M2 about Quinnipiac and what sets it apart.

Also, for the people freaking out over a rejection, DON'T FEEL BAD. I got my first rejection last Saturday and it devastated me. There was something very heartbreaking about being able to pinpoint the exact fun thing I gave up to fill out the secondary (awesome work party) and feel like I wasted my time. It also freaked me out to get a rejection so early in the cycle, and I was super concerned that there was a big red flag I'd missed. Got my first couple II's a few days later. Early rejections are not a sign of the end of times, they're just minor inconveniences. You can do it!

how long did it take you guys to get complete once everything on your end was in?

I had sent my letters and MCAT in before I submitted my secondary, so when I clicked submit I became complete.

For the course requirements, is the lab? checkbox indicating whether the course is a lab or if there was a lab component to the course?

Might be a bit nitpicky, but just thought I should ask....you know...for a friend....=)

has anyone not received a secondary yet??? I heard they were originally waiting for new MCATS scores to decide but now they arent and I havent heard anything from them at all

I interpreted it as the latter (lab component to the course).

Does anyone know if they are receptive to in the area emails?

Anyone here interview yet? If so, can you post how it went? Was it conversational? Any difficult questions? Thanks!

Interviewed here this past Friday. It was phenomenal. My first interview went meh. It wasn't the most conversational. It really depends on the interviewer that you get whether your interview is conversational, but the chair of the admissions committee informed us that they really tried to make all of them conversational. My second interview went great. Totally conversational, laughing the entire time, etc. Everyone at the school is so friendly, from the public safety officers to the admissions office people. All of the students were really helpful as well, and they seemed to all be friends with each other and have a supportive, collaborative relationship rather than competitive. I didn't think there were any terribly difficult questions, but I would just advise you to be familiar with what you wrote on your primary and secondary and be yourself!

I enjoyed the interview day as well! Though it was a bit intimidating seeing as every applicant there seemed to have great interviews. I know that the decision won't be up until after October 15th but do you know anything about when they actually make the decision?

I have no idea. I thought they would give us a little more info about that, but they didn't 🙁 I would just sit back and relax until October 15th! Hahaha, every applicant at the interview was so impressive. I kept thinking that there must've been a mistake and they didn't mean to invite me...

yea but being confident after an interview doesn't add anything to the actual interview, and thinking that it went well doesn't mean it did, the only opinion that matters is the interviewer's. trust yourself!

do they ask any questions about the health care system of the US/Affordable Care Act, stuff like that?

None of my interviewers asked anything remotely like that, nor does it seem like the school is interested in asking questions like that. I would still be familiar with it because I know other schools do ask questions about those things.

M1 here. Let me know if you have questions.

Interviewed here recently. Beautiful and modern facilities. Teachers are super student-centric. Interviews are conversational, but one of mine was a bit intense with someone going through a list and rarely making eye contact with me. Another unique part of the day is when questions are asked with all candidates in the same room--I tried to construct genuine, endearing, yet professional (not super personal) answers given the circumstances but who knows. Overall, it was a great experience and the students seem very happy and friendly!

Were both interviews conducted with all candidates in the same room, or just one?

All official interviews were one-on-one. It was just when one faculty was in the room and going around having students answer interview-like questions with everyone there at one point.

Oh, I see, thanks for the clarification!

Just got an II, complete 7/15. What a huge morale boost after two rejections within an hour yesterday.

Edit: Been eying this school for quite some time. Cannot wait!!!!! OOS by the way
Congratulations! I feel like we're applying to a lot of the same schools, so I see you on a lot of threads. I'm so glad to hear that you received good news.

I have a similar concern, they do mention primary care multiple times in their mission and values...but they can't expect everyone to want to do primary care, right? I am somewhat interested in primary care, but I've really enjoyed all my experiences with emergency medicine. Anyone have more insight?

I don't know if anyone has answered your question yet, but I can answer your question. I'm an M1 and I've told them in my primary, secondary, and my interview that I had an interest in specialty and not primary care.

I am really hoping for an interview here 🙁
I have NO patience anymore xD idk how to keep my sanity. I feel like I check my email every 5 minutes.

Just wait til after you interview. The wait gets worse... I interviewed here last week and we have to wait until mid October for our response... imagine how that feels :'(
