2015-2016 Rosalind Franklin University Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Question about their MMI, does anybody know if it is ethical scenarios that you read on paper and have to answer? Or is it different social situations with actors etc? I know its MMI but I've heard there's different formats to MMI's.

So it's possible that the MSAR data is before they implemented the MMI style of interview which I believe someone has already pointed out earlier in this thread. MMI style of interviewing allows them to interview a lot more people. Either way just focus on getting an interview and eventually an acceptance.
It is possible that the numbers are not correct, but the numbers I posted are for the class that matriculated in 2014. CMS started the MMI a few years ago I believe.

My friend interviewed there last year and said it is questions you have two minutes to consider, then you open the door and talk about it with the interviewer for 6 minutes.

We signed a confidentiality agreement and they track IPs, so no one will probably answer your question in great deal out of fear.

And I think last year was the first year they did MMI, so it makes sense if those numbers are for 2014 that they would be outdated! Problem solved. (Class matriculating in 2015 is first to have done MMI, per student panel)

Yeah nobody will talk about the actual questions, so just be prepared for anything goes.
Thank you, Good to know, I thought they had been doing MMI for a few years.

About this... how would anyone get people's IP addresses from SDN? This would violate the privacy policy of SDN, as far as I understand it. Where did you get that info? I get that adcoms (or anyone) could piece together who you are based on the personal information you provide in your posts or profile page, but how could they "track IPs"?

Well I know AAMC says that if we discuss the MCAT, they could subpoena it, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume a medical school could do the same thing? Again, adcom at the interview said that it was possible.

maybe if you made your own website and tried to sell old mcat questions in a book they might attempt to sue you or your website host. This however is just tinfoil hat nonsense.

Actually though, we do take home exas for one of my classes. Once, someone posted a question on Yahoo answers and they were promptly found out by the professors, had their IP tracked, and received an F and an IA.

So it's possible.

There is no such thing as an easy medical school in the U.S. imho.

this. it is difficult to get into any US MD school. some moreso than others, but keep in mind that most people who apply each year will not get into a US MD program

Rejected today as well. Good luck to everyone in the running still.

Just got my first rejection from here unfortunately. Good luck everyone!

I just got rejected as well. They aren't sending them out all at once I guess. Oh well, good luck everyone.

Yeah - no rejection here yet and no II. Interesting they would send a bunch of stuff this morning, you would think after the holiday weekend they wouldn't have been working on apps/been able to make decisions early in the AM

Sorry to hear about these, good luck with the rest of your cycle! When did you receive your "Application Complete" email?

Got rejected here as well. Good luck everyone!

II just now. Complete 8/4, LizzyM of 71-73. Interview dates avail starting this Friday all the way through feb.

I just got an II as well and in the email it said interviews were as early as 9/11. However when I actually went to schedule the earliest day was 11/16. Were you able to actually schedule in sept or oct?

Anyone know how long the interview day runs? Just got an II and trying to figure out if I'd be able to fly out the same day or if I'd be spending Friday night in the chi

Rejected today as well ... 4.0 / 33

Rejected just now... 3.91/30. Not surprised, but glad to have tried

II! Scheduled for Jan 8th, 2016 over my winter break. Things are getting crazy with II during the fall semester already, so I figured I would wait until I don't have other commitments.

They have two time options, the later option is 12-4:30. So you could probably fly out that night but I'm not familiar with the area/how difficult it is to get back to the airport.

I'm having this problem as well. Trying to schedule for the 18th but its not showing up. Wish I could get an earlier date!

How long did it take to get the complete email after submitting your secondary?

I was a little disappointed to see that the earliest interview day offered by the time I was able to schedule it was Dec 4th! Oh well.

I submitted my secondary on July 22nd and got my complete email on August 4th.

First post-secondary rejection from here today.

Submitted my secondary July 10th, complete July 24th, and I haven't heard anything... Have they forgotten about me?

Got my first II today here! I was complete 7/31

Scheduled my Interview for November 16th. Anyone else?? Any tips on where to stay? I'm flying into O'Hare, hoping to take public transit to the school/hotels
