2015-2016 Rosalind Franklin University Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Congrats to both of you! Mind sharing when you were complete? (so I know whether to obsessively refresh my email or not)

May I ask why they would reject you so early in the cycle. You seem to match with their stats and I assume you have extracurriculars
Yep-- I would say that I am quite involved in dance orgs, hospital volunteering, research, etc . . .
I'm not entirely sure why I was rejected so early. The physician who wrote my LOR did not submit it on official letterhead-- Rossy F reluctantly accepted the letter after a few e-mails back and forth. This might be a contributing factor? I'm not quite sure, really. If I don't get an acceptance elsewhere, I will contact them about it.

It's impossible to say for sure. There are so many factors that it is always ultimately a human decision. Maybe your app just happened to be in a stack with ten other people with perfect apps. Who knows. I don't know if that's helpful, but I'm sure with your stats you will find a warmer welcome elsewhere. Good luck!

Haha, this is my 6th. I have no idea how that happened. Thank you for your congratulations! Also, I'm female, btw 🙂

damn thats impressive! 🙂 congrats, mind posting where your IIs are at or PMing me?

Thank you! My IIs (some of which I've already interviewed at) were from Jefferson, Quinnipiac, Tulane, Creighton, Iowa, and Rosalind Franklin.

My apologies haha. You're killing it either way!

Congrats on the interviews everyone! I've been complete here for awhile now and would love to interview here.

Huh... I just received a rejection from this place. Quite surprised to be honest considering I'm a non-trad with a lot of clinical and research experience. MCAT 32; cGPA 3.81. Best of luck to you all!

Rejected and very surprised

Rejected 🙁 OOS, 29 MCAT, 3.7 cGPA, 3.7 sGPA

Rejected just now. Canadian applicant with cgpa 4.0 and 32 MCAT. Complete on 7/28. Would have loved to have gone to this school, but there are obviously just so many applicants. Good luck to those with II.

I guess the wave's not over yet :help:

Just wondering, was it a bad idea to submit my primary on the first day and my secondary within 2 days? I had great extracurriculars and an above average MCAT and GPA for RFU and maybe a lot of high caliber individuals also submitted early making my application look worse

horrible idea.

I wouldn't demerit myself about trying to stay ahead of the game

II today, my second of this cycle. Complete late July, ~70 LizzyM with low GPA high MCAT. Non-trad, In state, non URM. 6'1, 168 lbs with 40 inch chest and 34 inch vertical leap. Born on the 4th of July.

Ok, I'll stop now.
