II here too! Complete 08/04/15.
Undergrad 3.5 cGPA, 3.2 sGPA.
3.8 SMP GPA.
30 MCAT.
OOS.

First available date that I saw was January 27th though 🙁

I'm in the same boat! II this morning but first available was jan 27th. I chose Feb 5th though because it's a friday which works better with classes. I wonder if earlier dates will open up later if others cancel their interviews in the next couple months?

is there any way to check status here or is it just sit still and wait for news.

I think the consensus is that you just have to wait. I feel like the secondary might have even said that there was no portal or status checker, but it's been a while since I submitted my secondary, so that could just be my mind playing tricks on me.

I submitted my secondary on August 9th. However, my committee letter wasn't uploaded to AMCAS until September 9th. I've heard nothing back from these guys and I have no way of checking if they've received my letters or what my status is. I tried emailing them a week ago but got no response. Any idea what I should do?

I'd give it time. They tend to be pretty slow to send out complete emails, and it sounds like you've only had everything in for 3 weeks. I'd give them at least a few more weeks before getting worried.

I waited about a month for a complete email then decided to call. They said I was completed for a while, and that I might have not received the complete email. Seems like a common issue. The staff was very nice and friendly, if you decide to call as well.

Depended on the interviewer. They were all instructed not to give feedback (maintain a neutral facial expression, limit responses, stick to the script) but only some of them followed these rules.
Did they allow note taking at this MMI?

Yeah no kidding. I submitted my secondary at the beginning of August, and got a complete e-mail two minutes ago. I didn't even realize I hadn't received one because it was so long ago and I submitted a bunch that day. Two months though? I really hope they got it earlier than this and it's just an e-mail issue.

Interviewed here today and I have to say I was really impressed. The administration has really put in an effort to address the concerns of students, mainly to increase clinical exposure during MS1/2 (building on clinical skills that others have talked about in this thread) and to fix little things about curriculum and other logistics make the education seamless and increase productivity
The campus and facilities are absolutely amazing. Everything is clean and huge, really top notch infrastructure. There is so much space for studying, little nooks and private areas, no competition for space. The faculty and administration prepared us with great resources for info about the school (binders, sheets, meeting dean and having lunch with faculty) in a way I didn't get at other interviews.
While the school doesn't have a direct teaching hospital, 3rd and 4th years usually move to downtown Chicago area for their rotations and rotate at a ton of sites frequented by UChicago, Loyola, and northwestern students. Whereas most school students become accustomed to one hospital for MS3/4, you learn how a bunch of different clinics and hospitals operate, and what their protocols are and how they differ, as you do different clerk ships, which is pretty beneficial in terms of variety and experience. Definitely moved up on my list!

Thanks for this thoughtful write-up! Very encouraging!

Exactly the way I felt after my interview!

darn, the II I got went to spam, so I got to it late and now the only interview dates are in Feb.... poop!!

if anyone cancels their earlier interview- please let me know. I will be so grateful!!!

Anyone have a good idea of post interview acceptance rate? How many do they interview - I heard a little under a 1000, so maybe 800-900?
For a class of 190 would you think they maybe accept 400?

I think my interview went really well, but everyone at the interview seemed really impressive and awesome! It's going to be hard competition and that makes me nervous haha Guess that's the game

So, for OOS, they interviewed 431, while 128 matriculated. If we guess they accept around 1.5x that, you're looking at 192/431 for a 44.54% acceptance/interview.
If 2x, then 59% acceptance/interview.

For IS, they interviewed 135, while 52 matriculated. Similar to before, you're looking at 78/135 for a 57.77% acceptance/interview.
If 2x, then 77% acceptance/interview.

Thanks! I think MSAR data is a little misleading due to increased interview # from switch to MMI. I read last year they interview a little under 1000. And I think for schools like RFU, its more like 2x class size because they protect their yield as a lot of students will withdraw with other acceptances. 1.5x is more for top tier schools. 2-2.5x is more for lower schools, according to adcoms on this site.

II right now! Complete e-mail on 8/18. 3.8c, 3.8s, 30 and in-state. Scheduled for Feb 12th 0_0

II scheduled for jan 27th! Got the II last Wednesday. Looking forward to a trip out to Chicago!

Edit: Forgot the obligatory Lizzy 70+, complete July 28

II here today! So excited! Complete on 8/26 and was wait listed until 8/24 for last year's cycle. LizzyM of 68. Anyone know if they're receptive to in the area requests? Would love to interview in early November when I'll already be around Chicago... Earliest available date was Feb 5th

Last year I received my II in December for a date in January so I guess I'm just surprised at how late the available dates are 🙁 but thankful nonetheless! Love the school!

Wow you received an interview again after interviewing last year?! That's rare and super awesome! What did you do differently this year if you don't mind?

Thanks! Short answer: more clinical hours and experience, better LORs, including one from an MD that I worked with for two months, and a new & improved personal statement. Oh and I made sure to apply as early as I possibly could whereas last year I had schools waiting for my mcat score.

Well congrats!

does anyone know when the first round of acceptances come out ? 10/ 15 ??

I was wondering the same thing. Looks like last year the first round of acceptances were sent out 10/29, but that was the first year doing MMI... who knows!

They told us 4-6 weeks and I interviewed the Second week of interviews

So I have been lucky enough to get an II here. I know Rosalind Franklin does not want updates pre-II. But let's say I have won a prestigious award that I want in my file, at least for the post-II decision review. How would I go about adding this to my file?

You just said adcoms don't want any updates before your II, oh the irony, add it after! And trust me, a lot of people have "prestigious awards" and publications when applying.

Well, I would like to be one of those people as well 🙂
How does one "add it after"? I suppose I can just email the school and ask. I will update here with their response in case someone else has the same question.

You don't. They simply don't want updates. Your application stands as it is.

rejected pre-II. complete 9/2, LizzyM of 68. really bummed about this one bc I thought I had a shot. good luck to everybody!

Curious re: ec's and volunteering as I have similar stats , oos
dunno if you were referring to me (assuming that you were haha) but I have 2 years of TA-ing experience, 2 years of non-health related peer advising, over 1000hrs of shadowing, 1 year as VP of a mental health org, 1 year as a student justice on my school's SJPs, 3 years of research in a lab, ~200hrs of volunteering during school, annnnnd by July 2016 I'll have an additional ~1700hrs of volunteer experience as an AmeriCorps case manager. I'm OOS too with what I think is a bangin' committee letter. Honestly- I don't get it.

nice, I don't think you have anything to worry about, frankly it might be opposite what you think maybe it's the state you're from and they don't think your profile will end up being a match...meaning you'll pick a state school.

Thanks! It may be something along those lines- but whatever it is, I'm glad they told me sooner rather than later and keeping me hanging. Good luck to you! Sending you good vibes.

II for February 12! I'll see some of you there!

What's the normal response time from when you are complete for interviews? I submitted in August right after my MCAT score came out (July), and got my complete email 9/14. Stats are 3.94/3.88 c and sGPA, 513, IS/Chicagoland, with a decently good variety of EC's (Business Consulting, Research, Volunteer, Fraternity stuff). Seeing as interviews are scheduled for February already seems like the earliest I/everyone else might see is March.

Congrats!! When were you complete?

if I've seen this follow-up question once I've seen it a 1000X along with stats plz...there are like 10,000 handicappers out here looking for the slightest sliver of daylight/hope...could you help a brother in need?

if you post II please post when you were complete stats (incl in/out of state), urm, non trad, etc 🙂

I was complete 8/13. Still haven't heard anything. 3.6 uGPA/3.4usGPA. 3.9gGPA. 31 mcat. Southerner. I can put on a nice thick accent if it makes me more diverse. 🙂

Some people want to maintain an element of privacy, believe it or not
