7/21Sorry guys, what were your complete dates?
Got the email on 7/20
Damn, I guess mine will be on its way in 2 weeks7/21
I remember mine being about 45 minutes to an hourFor anyone that has already interviewed, how long did the info session last? I was told we will have a financial session in the morning at 8:45, then my interview, and then another info session at noon. Just trying to gauge when I might be done.
I am... and I'm so sick it hurts to be alive right now, but at least that means I don't have the energy to be nervous lolAnyone else interviewing in Indianapolis tomorrow? How are we feeling?
Well I hope that you feel better, and I look forward to seeing you there tomorrow! You'll kill it 🙂I am... and I'm so sick it hurts to be alive right now, but at least that means I don't have the energy to be nervous lol

Interviewed on 9/14 as well; been under consideration since 9/15.Invited to interview in august, interviewed 9/14 in Indy, application changed to "Under Consideration" about a week ago. Regular decision, OOS, post-grad, Lizzy M score 67.3
That was such a pain in the butt.. I printed it in 4x6 and then cut it down to 3x5For those who have interviews @al22al22 . Where did you go to get your 3 x 5 photos printed. I'm in Michigan and the Walgreens here doesn't offer that size.
Word. I still haven't heard anything back and would also like to know. How long did it take to hear back about student host matches? Has anyone who is interviewing next week heard back yet?
I didn't. They were asking me questions throughout the whole interview and I was only able to ask them 1 question.I have a question for people who've interviewed: Did you have an opportunity to discuss or learn about joint programs such as their MD/MPH?
I was able to talk with my interviewer about his experience in academic medicine and why he chose to teach and mentor 3rd and 4th years. It was a cool conversation.I have a question for people who've interviewed: Did you have an opportunity to discuss or learn about joint programs such as their MD/MPH?
Yeah, that's just how I saw it at least. I'm glad you enjoyed yours! And I agree the scenarios weren't hard, just unexpected since I'd heard they don't ask weird things here so I was expecting to talk about myself and my activities. Instead I had little to no opportunity to do so, so hopefully this helps others prepare better in the future.@al22al22
That was my first interview, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. I guess you're right about how impersonal it was.
As far as the actual interview, I also had about 3-4 scenario questions in addition to the personal questions. IMO, they weren't impossible to answer.
They send out acceptances the 15th of every month, starting this month. I feel like there were around 50 or so interviewing at Indy with me that did the same final presentation, but there was also a second group I saw as we were heading back that was almost as large, so maybe between 80 - 100?For those of you who interviewed at Indianapolis, how many other candidates were being interviewed as well?
And how long did IU mention that it would take before you would hear back about a final decision?
Hi all, so when you enter the application portal, fill out all the information and pay the $65 application fee, when and how are you supposed to select your interview date?

I have a very different opinion after interviewing at Indianapolis on Wednesday.
First of all, it felt as though I was simply a number there as opposed to other interviews where we have been given nametags, folders and the faculty really seemed to care to speak with us and offer us any information. Instead, we were each given a few pieces of paper stapled together (with zero information about the school included) and a map and told we were responsible for finding everything ourselves. The only person on that entire campus who knows who I am now is the ONE interviewer I had, who also interviewed tons of other students that day. I never felt like this at other interviews.
Second, it seems like some people had very relaxed interviews while others (myself included) had a list of difficult and awkward scenarios and questions to be asked. It really depends on who your interviewer was, which I find to be extremely unfair especially considering that IU only gives you one chance, unlike many other schools with at least 2 separate interviews.
Lastly, I thought the information session was incredibly unhelpful. The students seemed really unhappy and basically said that if you don't get into the Indianapolis campus you're screwed for research and the outreach clinics that they all rave about.
I walked away wondering if this is how it feels to be a student there and if their size takes away from the student experience you hear about at other schools with more focus on each individual. I guess I expected a school this good to put forth more effort. I would think if you interviewed at a different location it might be a different experience though. I still think it's a great school and would attend over some others, but I was very disappointed with the interview day itself.

What do you mean by situational questions? Like what would you do in X situation?I interviewed here recently (OOS so i had to fly in the night before). The day basically consists of your interview (its supposed to 2 faculty per 1 interviewee but you may just end up with 1), a financial aid session (which was surprisingly objective and extremely informative I ended up learning a lot from it), and a student panel info session for ~ 45 mins. The interview is not too bad, just be prepared to answer some basic situational questions along with the regular why medicine, etc. The campus itself is beautiful and quite new/modern I loved it!
You will have like 1.5 hours of down time during the day and I personally spent it getting to know the other people there who were interviewing with me. Overall, pretty chill and low stress I wouldn't worry too much!
