Hey everyone, hope the cycle is going well for those of you currently applying. I'm a current student here at Feinberg, and I wanted to drop in and post about the culture here. I was talking to an interviewee recently (if you're reading this, what's up?) about a post on this thread about Feinberg being notorious for having gunners, and I wanted to come and give me $0.02 about it and let you know what it is actually like. As a caveat, I don't have any incentive for you all to come here, just wanted to let you know a bit more about the school!
First, it absolutely isn't true that Feinberg has a lot of gunners, in part because there is literally zero incentive to do so. It's a P/F curriculum, and administration is eliminating the internal ranking for points towards AOA. In that sense, it is a true P/F (it has literally no impact on you following the first two years as long as you pass). Additionally, the admissions department does a great job of building a class full of motivated, helpful, and collaborative people. People share study resources before exams, help remind each other when the oddball writing assignments are due, etc. As with anywhere, there will be people you get along with better than others; that's the nature of having a class ~165 people, but it is a super collaborative environment. Social life is fun too.
I wanted to keep this post short, but I'd be happy to answer questions if you're curious about Feinberg. PM me and I'll be able to give you more specifics about the school. I love it here, and my classmates are one of the biggest reasons why. Second look would be a good chance to see that for yourselves!
Also, I know applying is a brutal process, but I know many people (myself included) that got II after xmas break and still got in. Stay positive if you can!
