2016-2017 Rosalind Franklin University Application Thread

I have a couple questions for any current students that wouldn't mind answering. Do you feel like you are getting a great education at Rosalind Franklin? Would you choose Rosalind Franklin again knowing what you do now?
 
has anyone gotten an II after a 3 month silence from the 8-10 week complete email?

I feel like most people who got II here have some intermediate/hold status first

I got mine about three months after the email (Complete 8/11, II 11/2) and was never on hold.
 
For anyone who interviewed here, what airport did you fly into? What hotel did you stay in? Are there student hosts?

Thnx in advance to anyone taking the time to answer these

I think most people fly into O'Hare.

I actually flew into Milwaukee because it was $150+ cheaper for me and not much farther of a drive (I rented a car). I can't help with hotels because I stayed with family.

Flew into O'Hare, rented a car, stayed at the Ramada (not an amazing hotel, but the RF rate is $69, which is the cheapest I could find. Includes breakfast.) There aren't any student hosts that I was aware of (certainly none were offered, but I also didn't ask). Ask around here though and maybe you can split a room &/or car with someone interviewing on the same day. I did and it worked out great 🙂

Their website states they do not offer a student host program. I think the only way to stay with a student would be if you knew one personally!
 
Does the school email you more information prior to the interview aside from the confirmation email?

What was the confirmation email you received? (Would you mind posting a snippet from it?)

I only got an email after selecting the date, asking me to confirm my interview. Didn't receive any confirmation. It's been over a week since I scheduled, but no confirmation email other than that
 
Has anyone heard back from admissions after being accepted? I've been calling for two weeks now and no one picks up the phone.

After scheduling the interview and receiving an email with a link to follow to confirm the interview, I did not receive another email until one week before my interview giving me further information. On the interview scheduling portal, once you sign in, it will tell you your status regarding your interview, and it will say "confirmed" if it is confirmed.

Yeah, I got mine yesterday - but my interview is this Friday.
They also send you a link to "confirm" that you will be attending your interview date. Check the portal again and confirm your date, you should get something the week of your interview!
 
Has anyone been placed on the alternate list/rejected post-II?
 
Does anyone know if this school is receptive to ITA emails? I interviewed at Loyola a few months back and I'll be interviewing at Rush next month. Would be pretty swell if I don't have to make a third trip to the mid-west.

You probably won't hear much from most schools until the spring when people start deciding between their acceptances.

I believe RFU has accepted student days in January/March.

Why worry?! Things don't get moving until late Spring. Go do non-med-school things. I'm a current CMS M2. PM if you have any questions.

Good points - Thank you! I was just expecting some sort of confirmation from them but looks like I'm just over thinking
