I believe it was here that I read they only do 6 interview weekends for the whole cycle. In which case I would assume there will be long gaps between bunches of IIs

I saw the same thing. I haven't heard anything, but I imagine they'll tell us at the interview. I think it's defintiely a possibility though.

I saw on some past forums people heard as early as October 15th. On our interview day they said they're shooting for October but could be November.

Yes, I was initially offered 10/1 but had a conflict and will now be interviewing 10/29.

I'm sure they are understanding about people having to travel from far away and not getting there in time, and I highly doubt anything at the reception has any influence on their admission decisions

I may go but just to get food and bounce as quickly as possible, definitely won't be wearing 'business casual'. I'll be traveling a lot that day (God this place is the hardest to get to of my interviews so far), so I don't think I'll be in the mood to do anything but just rest in my room and sleep. I'm sure not going won't count against you, it wouldn't be fair.

I have been meaning to ask this for almost a month now and kept getting busy -- for those of you at the first interview in August do you remember if they specified when in October we would hear? I was re-reading last year's thread and they didn't hear until November. Does that mean we could be looking at late October for notifications?

I remember them saying October 15th and having that date in the presentation, so I'm thinking we should hear tomorrow. But this process is so unpredictable, so you never really know.
