Anyone have any idea when the next wave of interviews will be going out?

When I looked at past threads, I noticed that things become a little quiet around this time until the new year because of the holidays.

First II from here yesterday! Extremely grateful! MCAT: <500, cGpa and sGPA 3.3 played basketball through undergrad and over 7,000 hours employed clinical experience. URM. This is my second cycle and I almost gave up hope but what is for you will be for you!!! Hang in there ! Much love. (Also my very first post been trolling this site for like five years lol)

Congrats!!! I’m super happy for you and I hope I get one like you lol. Out of curiosity, what do you think you did differently that stood out from the first time you applied?

Thanks! And Not a lot changed on paper other than the amount of hours I've worked honestly but I have grown personally a lot since the 2015 cycle and there's a huge difference in how I recounted the significance of my experiences in this application versus the previous. It honestly could've been as simple as the right person on the right day .

Congratulations. Hope you enjoy your experience there...if that is where you decide to go... any other "interviews offered"--if don't mind my asking? If I am on the admissions committee, someone who participated in college athletics who is determined is someone I'd do all I could to add to my med school population. 'suspect you're gonna be a great doc. Good luck.

Hey has anyone gone to the open house? if so, who all were there? anyone from admissions? how was the whole process?

I went to the last one. There is basically an info session led by the admissions team. After that, there is a tour that shows you the library, cadaver lab and simulation lab. Finally, there is a student panel. Also they give you food. I thought it was helpful for information but if you are going there to cozy up with the admissions office there really isn't time for that.

Congrats!!! What dates were left to choose from for your interview?

I actually submitted the secondary before that date, but 8/25 is when the school acknowledged that I was complete lol. Hope that helps

Thank you that is so helpful if they are going in order! I got that email 9/5 so fingers crossed!

My sGPA is 2.94, does anyone know if I have a chance at Howard? Has anyone gotten an II or acceptance with anything lower than a sGPA of 3.0?

Has anyone interviewed yet? If so, when did you submit your secondary?

BTW, they said they have a delay in the system. Letters are being sent out and people will be contacted by phone.

You never know honestly, I would still shoot my shot if I was you. It wont hurt to try. If you fit their mission and have the ECs then go for it. Best of luck.
