Trying not to freak out about the fact that some people who were under review after me have gotten II’s and I have not

any current Tulane med student can elaborate on their experiences at the university? community service and research opportunities?

Just received an email saying my application is complete and under review.

I apologize if this has been asked before and I don’t see a search function on mobile, but how long will we be under review for?

Varies...some people have been 2 days some people have been over 2 weeks gotta love the randomness 😕

Anybody have experience staying with student hosts the night before interviews? I'm debating cause it seems like a great way to meet students, get some insight on the interview, and save money. But I know that I'll be anxious and want to get a good night's sleep, and I'm not sure I will want to worry about all that. If anyone has any insight that'd be helpful, thanks!

I’m the same way but my friend is an MS2 and she said that staying with student hosts absolutely gives you a better picture of the school. My thoughts are you’ll probably be nervous regardless where you stay so may as well get the full experience 🙂

I would love to stay with a student host. Do you ask the admission committee about this when you get invited for an interview?

Does my "in progress" part of the application status need to be green for my application to be complete or does "application file complete" suffice?
Idk what that "in progress" means
Did you guys get an email from Tulane saying the application is complete?

It turns green when someone decides to read your app. You’ll be marked complete then. You’ll get an email saying you’re complete and under review in one

How long does it take to get the in progress checkmark? I've been complete since the second week of July and its still red.

I submitted my secondary on 7/13 and received an email from Tulane that my app is under review on 7/31. That's when my progress check mark turned green.

Late to the game but applied over the weekend and submitted the secondary today!

An adcom member I spoke with told me that their interview slots fill up by august so any apps they get after that they basically cant take because their slots fill up so early.
Does that mean all interview spots are gone? I sent in the secondary very very early July when I got it but my committee came in July 23 and they still haven’t looked at it. Am I done for?

Wow...that's intense...

Committee letter was sent on the 24th. This is exactly what I was afraid of.

I'm sure there is some variability between cycles, but it seems like they just like to get it done early on... Obviously, anything could happen so dont stress too much. Just figured I'd try and help motivate anyone who was thinking of waiting on this school
