We don't have enough information judge. No one really knows how schools will use CASPer.
So I chose to play it safe. I took the test on the earliest possible date (after doing a practice test), and sent it to every school that I planned to send a primary, no questions asked.
I am now sitting on interviews from three schools that required CASPer. I was put on hold at another school that required CAPSer.
Was it worth the $40 extra bucks? You bet. The peace of mind that I get from knowing that I have done everything in my power to satisfy their requirements is priceless.
Who knows? Maybe the fact that I turned in my CASPer so early signals to the schools that I am an applicant that follows directions and is easy to work with.
It's only $10/school, it's not like it's a huge expense anyway...your flights for interviews are gonna cost a whole lot more!
To me, not sending CASPer is just needlessly adding stress to yourself. If they ask for it, send it. Unless you have an acceptance, you're not really in the position to question what these schools want from you, or why they want it.
