Submitted secondary & complete on 8/25. Went under review this morning 9/14 and got an II this afternoon. 509 mcat, 3.72 cGPA, 3.57 BCPM. Have a good app otherwise. First available interview is Feb. 1st so scheduled then! Does anyone know what the chances are for such late interviews?

I'm interested in hearing your pitch to the school. Did you have a stand-out app in one section (like a metric **** tonne of volunteer hours, founder of MSF etc..) or did you really vibe with the school's mission on paper or do you think you got lucky. In any case, congratulations.

Tomorrow marks the 3rd week of my app being under review.
I'm not sure I've seen more than a 2-3 week turn around on this thread. Not feeling great about it.

With the peak of secondary apps reviewing this time, I definitely think it's possible the turnaround time will be much more than 2-3 weeks.

Aren't you applying MD/PhD though? I feel like that application pool should be separate and would warrant longer eval times.

The admissions website (which has general info relevant for all programs) says 3-5 week turnaround for everyone. They’re just really backed up.

In past threads, it was said that there was a mcat cutoff of 31 or 32 for applying, but msar today with the 500 scale shows a much more lenient mcat spread. Any older students know anything about this?

Very lenient as long as you have a good GPA... PM if you want my stats (I have a low MCAT and got an interview).

I feel like there’s no rhyme or reason to it. I went from under review to II in like 30 hrs

I couldn't see any holds on last year's thread. I think it's a new procedure for them.

No one knows for sure since it’s still new but with this school getting 12k apps I can’t imagine it being that good

I'm on hold as well. There's a chance you'll get an interview, sure, but I would just consider it a soft R just to not get your hopes up.

Dumb question but is the MD/PhD secondary identical to the MD secondary? I decided to add Tulane and there's basically no mention of MD/PhD on it.

Glad to hear this because there was no mention MD/PhD on my secondary either.
