That makes sense. Would you mind sharing how far apart the dates were between your II email and the scheduling email?
I actually got my II a little after you and was able to schedule a little more than a week later. Not sure how that was managed.

how are my fellow seattle SUC's holdin up?

Does anyone know about the timeline for financial aid/UW medical school scholarship? The website says applications are open in March, but since we have to commit to one school by the end of April, does anyone know if we would receive our package before then so we can make a well informed decision?
Don't worry about needing to apply for the UWSOM Scholarship asap. It's been 3 months and we still haven't received our scholarships. For those can get accepted off the waitlist/past the deadline gets a chance to apply. You can call/email Diane as mentioned above and ask what is the most likely scholarship amount you will receive. Last update was it would be released in november, but have not received anything. TLDR: don't sweat about it and enjoy life before school starts

Wow will try not to read into that haha, and I suppose I should be grateful since I'm actually traveling for work on the latter dates, so that wouldn't have worked for me anyway. Will probably send a follow up email if I still haven't heard anything by mid-Dec about scheduling.

I wouldn't read into it!! It really is dependent on when your adcom member is available for interviews! And since a lot of adcom members are also practicing physicians, that means they are fitting interviews into an already hectic schedule. Don't fret.

Is UW keeping up with notifying applicants 4-6 weeks after app completion? Took forever to get my residency verified so I was a little late to the game.

Did anyone get the email to schedule for wwami regions yet? Was there anything else on the portal besides the food, calendar, and photo upload? Accidently submitted before getting a chance to read everything

Well I got my SUC email on November 16th, so Im assuming the next batch should go out shortly. However, Christmas and New Years might stall the meetings until January

I don't know if we will get SUC emails consistently each month through its very intermittent.

Got my II a couple days ago. I was not verified as a WA resident until 11/15.

Idaho Resident trying to pick between dates here. I was offered II dates of January 9th or Feb 25th. The latter is in Boise (where I live) making it more desirable. Does anyone have info on whether or not that later date may be disadvantageous? They interview all their Idaho WWAMI applicants during those two weeks as far as I know.

Hey SaltySprings, I'm an MS1 here in Moscow. My understanding was that they distribute the spots more or less evenly between interview weeks, no week should give you an advantage over another. Based on our class that seems to hold true.

I meant the time to catch a flight lol, but thanks😉

Depends on the place where you interview. The website in the interview invite (need username and password) will tell you. Also, for example in Seattle, the interview time slots at 0800, 0900, 1000, 1400, and 1500 so you could be done by 1330 or so or you might have to wait until later. All of this information is on the website.

Has anyone else waited over a month for the interview directions?
Yes just got informed that I will be waiting until February 25-28th to interview. Idaho resident. Got the email yesterday. First email for interview was sent on December 10th.

I'm interviewing for Washington and waiting for my date/info.

Congratulations on your interview. 🙂

Maybe they are just waiting until Christmas to let us know we got in

Has anybody received any information about filling out FASFA? I'm pretty sure it's due on the 15th of this month for UW...

It's due on the 15th for everyone. Just fill it out, it had nothing to do with the schools your applying to. You only have 10 spots for schools so put the ones your interviewed at.

So far only 1 excom meeting huh? Preparing myself for the incoming reckoning.

Most people hear back in March for Seattle. You'll usually hear back a few days after your interview for the other sites.

@mongoose1180 are you a current student, or how do you know that Seattle applicants mostly hear back in March? I thought we were supposed to hear back after each EXCOM meeting. Thanks for your insight...
