Does anyone know if the 2x2 photo for the interview needs to be professionally done or if a color printout at home would be good enough?

Go to staples. I printed multiple 2x2s on a single sheet of matte cardstock and they didnt even charge for it.

If they did it might have been 20cents.

doesn't need to be professionally done, but I would pay the $2 or less to get it printed on photo paper. If you go to any place that does passport photos, they usually have a cutter that can cut perfect 2x2 squares. I took the photo at home then went to CVS and paid $2 to get a sheet of 6 printed and cut.

what is the photo you are talking about? is it for seconday? I didn't receive anything about photo upload

Did anyone who interviewed this past Wednesday get a decision the next day? Just trying to gauge if they're following the same pattern as last year.
Hey, I also interviewed on Wednesday (16th) and haven't heard anything yet. Have you gotten any news? I am getting nervous because I know in past years they reply within a day or so after.

Does anyone know if this school is receptive to and accepts updates???? I can't find any info on their website.

Anyone know if they’ve actually handed out any post II R’s? Or only A/WL.
Could be wrong, but it seems like almost entirely A/WL. They said they use their WL extensively (for some classes, nearly ~1/3 came from the waitlist), so it seems like it's in their best interest to not reject many applicants just yet

Does any current student or applicant know where the third and fourth year clerskships are held? I kind of remember them saying they are at Buffalo General and Erie County Medical Center and other local hospitals but I just wanted to verify.
I remember a great deal of time was spent discussing the two places you mentioned, but here are a few that I didn't hear as much but are on their site: Affiliated Hospitals - Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences - University at Buffalo

Congratulations!! Did you just interview this Wednesday or in an earlier group?

It was about 2 weeks ago. Was worried because everyone said I would hear back within a day so I was fearing that maybe I wasn’t going to hear any good news but that’s changed!!

That’s comforting 🙂 just interviewed this Wednesday and have been anxiously checking my phone/email hoping for that quick turnaround as well. Did they notify you via call or email?

Emailed. Yeah I was in the same boat. I don’t think they do the quick turnaround anymore. Then again I’m just an applicant so I wouldn’t know but I had to wait a few weeks. I’m so happy about this one. The school is so beautiful!

Did any accepted students receive an email after paying the fee titled "Your Access to UB"? The email gave me credentials to access my UBITName account which gives me access to MyUB and HUB that allows me to register for classes. I was wondering if creating this account means that I am committing to enroll in UB or if I can just cancel the account if I choose not to attend.

It's just so that you can submit your deposit. It's Non-binding

I saw this post on last year's thread and no one really addressed this concern, so I was wondering if anyone could address this as this looks like a huge issue:

"Can any current students comment on the 92% pass rate and below-average scores for Step 1 last year?? Having over ten students in the class fail concerns me about the curriculum demands/design at UB."
im a current student and an M2 actually told me the other day that apparently last year the students did exceedingly well on step

Also they’ve brought in an education specialist who basically works with each student individually as needed to help them develop better study techniques, and she is a apart of the total overhaul they are doing in the curriculum. She was apparently integral in changing their curriculum to pass fail as well, so things are definitely on the rise

The tour is in one building. You will not need to go outside
That being said, as someone who just got back home from California today, it’s already January here so you’re gonna want a coat for one reason or another, just not necessarily at the tour.
