Accepted!! Omg I'm so happy. :banana:Dumb question maybe, but does anyone know the difference between "accept offer and hold a spot in the class" and "confirm receipt of offer"? I want to accept the offer but I don't want to commit to Case or anything until I've heard back from my other schools...

I accepted, don’t think it’s binding until you use the choose your med school tool and commit to enroll.

Question: I have an interview coming up next week. Congrats to everybody who heard back!! Do any of yall have any tips? One of my top choices 🙂

Literally be yourself. Interview day is lots of fun! They honestly just want to get to know you, and it's definitely one of the most laid back interviews you'll probably get!

Be prepared to talk about every single activity you wrote in your primary. My interviewer literally had my application open and went through each and every activity, which I wasn't expecting as I thought I would be able to steer the conversation to activities I wanted to emphasize. That being said, it was still extremely laid but.. a bit long (1 hour) but still mostly enjoyable!!

Congrats to everyone accepted today! For those who were placed on the alternative list, don't lose hope! I think almost half our class came off the list last year (including me). However, not sure how much the new building will impact that this year.

Let me know if you guys have any questions about Case! I would be happy to anwer 🙂

Thank you for your words of encouragement! 🙂 I absolutely loved this school and am already thinking about what to send in my letter of interest/update once I finish this semester in December. What things are they looking for as far as fit?

Thank you so much! Do you know if most of that waitlist movement was after April? Thanks!!!

Does anyone know if they accept updates? Pre II?

I'm not really sure what goes on behind the admission's doors. However, I can tell you that our curriculum puts a strong emphasis on self-directed learning (only 20 hours lecture, only 10 hours mandatory) and also on teamwork (we have 6 hours IQ sessions weekly). So if you could speak to that in part of your letter of intent then it would probably help.

They also seem to appreciate research and we have a lot of opportunities with the Clinic, UH, and Metro nearby. So you could mention your plans/any ideas for conducting research if you are interested in that.

Thank you so much! I’m definitely interested in all of that, so I hope I can convey to them how amazing I think the school is!!

Does anyone know when the essays for merit scholarships get released? Has anyone accepted gotten an email about that?

I believe they said we would have been invited to apply for a merit scholarship within our acceptance email...but I wasn't so I can't confirm.

I got an II from the college program about a month ago, and just got rejected from UP which I am not surprised about as my MCAT is below their average. Does anyone know how stat-focused the college program is/what their average stats are? I feel like I don't have much of a chance there post interview.. LM= 72.5

Congrats! If you're interviewed then its safe to say they can see you matriculating. Don't psych yourself out! You have a real chance🙂

When they say the interview is a "Health/Education Professional (HEP) interview" what does that mean? Is it a special type of interview? Tried googling but nothing really came up. Thank you!

Edit: Just found in their FAQ that it is an open file interview with interviewers blinded to your MCAT score
