Does anyone with an interview or a current student know what they mean by "the special meeting with students after the wrap-up?"

Current student here. It's optional and just an additional chance to meet with students, and have your questions answered from us, rather than admin/interviewers.

Do most students at CCLCM go the MD/PhD route? Or are there still a good amount of students that end up being a traditional MD at the end?

If I understand correctly, zero students at CCLCM go the MD/PhD route. CCLCM does not have a MD/PhD program.

Well now I feel dumb. I thought that as such a research heavy institution, that they'd have a really strong MD/PhD program

Some students eventually do an MD/PhD, although it is rare and requires a lot of hoops to jump through. CCLCM exists to produce physician scientists adept at clinical and translational research but who are, at the end of the day, primarily physicians. MD/PhD programs tend to to produce physicians who are primarily basic scientists. That’s the big difference between the two.
 
Is it normal/common to get an interview invite to Lerner and not to Case? My interview is coming up and I'm wondering if I should send an ITA to Case to save on another potential trip to Cleveland.

This isn't really what you asked about, but I sent an "ITA" to Lerner after Case, and I never got a response to my email. but did end up in the first wave of Lerner IIs two weeks after. Wouldn't hurt to give it a try, right?
 
Anyone that has interviewed here that can speak to their experience on the day of? Interview coming up and not sure what to expect - would love any insight!

Tough interviews, pretty structured and several questions that I had to think a bit for. Got grilled on my research too. PM if you have specific questions.
 
No idea how this is possible but II this morning as well! LM 73 ish
There were a few slots open this morning but now there are NONE available in any month. Starting to think they sent me an II by accident and quickly deleted all the available dates from my portal??

Happened to me too, I called them but they haven’t gotten back to me. I saw only one date available, went to the Case page to schedule as well (so I could be in Cleveland only once) and by the time I got back they were all gone...

Yeah, by all means! Hoping to see something either mid October or Early December open up.

Has anyone who received an II yesterday been able to schedule one yet? The calendar is still showing up as empty for me.

I eventually called and spoke to someone and she manually opened up a date for me in November. She was also able to tell me when some of the future Case dates were too so that I could schedule them together.

I just received an II which I'm thrilled about, but similarly there were no available dates on the calendar. Unfortunately it's a friday afternoon, and I wasn't able to reach anybody after calling. Is it possible they overbooked/overscheduled? Kinda worried since I won't be able to get through until Monday

Rejected today, complete 08/19/2019. Odd considering I have 5+ years of research, though no 1st author pubs.

Praying to the mystical II-gods for dat MSTP II from Case. Best of luck to those in the running still, and those with II at CCLM.
