Accepted or waitlisted people- did anyone get an email about a background check from aamc prior to hearing back? I just got that email and based on my interview date I should be hearing from gw soon. Wondering if it might be related. The email said I needed to fill it out because I had been “conditionally accepted or waitlisted at a school”.

You got this if you’re A/WL at any school! If I recall correctly, I saw you got an A on a different school thread we have in common. The certiphi email would be because of that!

Ah, so it could be from my one existing A, and might not be indicative of any decision from gw? I was really hoping it might be related, that’s the only other school I’ve interviewed at so far...

I was on hold for like three months and then got an II in November for a December interview. So totally normal!

No I'd imagine its just a high volume school with a lot of movement so they probably do this to potentially bring in us stats plebeians as the higher stat interviewees start committing to another school.

I know of 2 people who have gotten interviews as late as early summer and are both attending.

Complete 12/11. Never placed on hold. It was a reach school but it’s okay, patiently waiting for my first ii and I know it’s coming!
