Low yield refers to number of spots available compared to number of applicants. Georgetown has low-mid stats for an MD school so one might think it’s not highly competitive at first glance, but they also receive around 12 thousand applications (don’t quote me on this) for only ~100 spots meaning it’s “low yield.” Compared to a school with 100 spots and only receiving 1000 applications

awh thanks!! I'm just of the belief that if it's meant for you it'll be for you -- you can't **** up something that you are destined to have... I know a little wonky but hey it keeps me sane. Probably helps I already had an interview this cycle for a school I care for a lot more than georgetown. Complete 7/7, good luck to you too!
