Do you mind sharing your stats? Wondering if I should be expecting an R soon as well lolR, OOS, ORM LM 73
That is the pre-II hold. I am not sure why they're giving those out since they already said they will stop sending out invites by the end of the month. I also thought those were the people who haven't been reviewed yet.Just got that hot... hold? Waitlist?
“Though we are unable to offer you an acceptance at this time, please rest assured that you are still being considered by the Admissions Committee for a potential seat in the entering class.”

+1Anyone still in complete silence (no R, hold, II, etc.)?
Dean Rivera was explicit about this? This isn't a hold - you're still being considered according to the dean!
Dean Rivera was explicit about this?
Thats nice to hear. How many post II rejections do they even hand out at this point though, Seems like its been majority "Hold" Post-IIYes, he said that ppl who receive that email are still in the running, and that one woman even received an acceptance call a week after she got it.
I don't know what the optional morning rounds are (interviewed a couple of months ago, maybe they changed it), but the schedule was pretty accurate for the interview day. Basically, morning presentations + lunch with the students, then people get split into "tour then MMI" or "MMI then tour". You can change into walking shoes. Then some casual socializing with students at the end of the day. Feel free to message me if you have more specific questions!Interview coming up this week. Can anyone tell me about their experience (of course you don’t need to go into the specifics of MMI) with visiting the school and whether they opted to sit in on any of the optional morning rounds etc.
Yes, that's my understanding of it. I didn't even know this was a thing. I thought it was a WL but it's not. THey're pretty much like "yeah we don't really know yet what we wanna do with you but we'll figure it out later so hang tight"yeah got this too, so this is a post interview hold?
Yeah I'd like to echo bringing walking shoes in a small bag or something, they have a place you can keep your belongings during the interview. I wore my pointy heels for the tour, which turned out to be extensive. I don't even remember the last half of the tour because the pain in my feet was literally unbearable hahahaha. I couldn't walk normally for the next few days because of the blisters. did you feel that your preperation with ethics and mmi scenariors helped on the real day? if so, how what resources would u rcomemmdneHard disagree. Look up resources, time yourself, and practice with another person. Read up on ethics. Don’t make the mistake of going in blind.
Hard disagree with this hard disagree. If you went through the MMI that I went through (which I assume would be the same), you don’t need any prep beyond what you would do for a trad interview. There was no crazy ethics you were expected to know.Hard disagree. Look up resources, time yourself, and practice with another person. Read up on ethics. Don’t make the mistake of going in blind.
I wouldn’t say wing it. Just remember to recognize all sides in an argument and how it can affect others, directly or indirectly involved.so you kinda winged it
Yea this is what I meantI wouldn’t say wing it. Just remember to recognize all sides in an argument and how it can affect others, directly or indirectly involved.
Otherwise, it’s a short 5 mins

any other interview tips?I was accepted here and prepared for my MMI by practicing out loud with a friend, reviewing medical ethics concepts, and strategizing for different types of questions I expected to encounter. Regardless of how much it helped or not, I cannot understand why you would not practice for an important interview in a highly competitive process. It cannot hurt.
any other interview tips?
They said all interviews would be given by the end of November, so I’m assuming we have < 3 weeks of hope remaining. Sit tightAre IIs still being sent out? Wondering if there are spots left. Would absolutely love to interview here, a dream come true haha
pretty sure they said that nothing short of a huge publication should be sent post-interview! i usually err on the side of "it cant hurt" but dean rivera seemed pretty clear they werent interested hahaWhat do y'all think constitutes a good application update? I got a spiffy new job a month ago removing eyeballz from organ donors which I think is pretty cool but not sure if they really care to hear an update about something like that. Have any of you all sent app updates?
