i interviewed 9/20 and still haven’t heard so i’m frustrated
I feel you man, I interviewed on the 30th so you've got a bit more room for frustration than I do. We've already waited this long, whats another month of waiting gonna do to us at this point? 🙁

Im a 9/20 as well, if one guy earlier who interviewed in september already heard back, then im sure today or tomorrow, at least some of us are going to hear back as well. The waiting sucks but i'm thinking decision day is just right around the corner

I interviewed 9/6 and got accepted 11/6. Sounds like you guys should hear back soon. Fingers crossed

Got an II yesterday, complete in August.

OOS (heavy ties to NW Ohio), LM ~70, non-traditional, reapplicant.

Available interview dates were in February.

I'm stoked to have another shot!
Complete early or late August? Congrats btw!!

OOS applicant. Secondary submitted 10/15. Been under review since. Any idea when I should hear anything back?

If we don’t hear anything next week I feel like we’ll have to wait till after New Years smh

lol is 12 weeks normal not to hear? have had multiple people from the same interview already hear back over a week ago...this is stressful

Somebody last year said it took them over 3 months to get back to them and they got in. So hopefully you get some good news soon.
Me. And actually probably at least a couple dozen or so others in the class also had the same experience. And yeah, the way they do the Adcom process is inherently gonna be pretty time consuming. On the other hand, if you have a well rounded app with just 1 or 2 weaknesses the current process is very favorable (though anxiety provoking).
Good luck all!

when did they get back to you all about scholarships last year? If they aren't due until April 1 at the earliest, can you expect to know before April 30? I realize you might not know this

I think most people heard in early May last year. The inconvenience of this with the new traffic rules last year was brought up with the office of student affairs and financial aid. Hopefully they will get out scholarship decisions earlier this year.

Can you speak more on this? Why is it favorable?

ADCOMs at UT makes an effort to make a pretty "holistic" review of applications. This is favorable to people with well rounded apps, with maybe a weakness here or there. To have everyone on ADCOM go through apps in fine detail and then return a recommendation takes time.
do you know how often the committee meets by chance? I'm just concerned they would wait till after the holidays to tell us bad news if other people in our interview date have already heard back

Afraid I don't know. It varies over the year. My research PI is on adcoms and I think he is out of town until Jan, so I wouldn't really expect much until then.

tangential to this - how are the opportunities for research at Toledo? and even more tangential, do you feel like the class is tight-knit and collaborative or is it more cliquey?

how are the opportunities for research at Toledo?

Pretty good actually. At its core, Toledo is a research school. You can get involved in anything from basic sciences to clinical. The school had a good track record getting students into competitive residencies, and a part of that is providing the research opportunities needed to get dem pubs. The school really promotes a summer research program thing that gets med students into labs and pays them (don't get excited, its peanuts) over the summer. Many students will continue on in those labs over the next few years. Many students (like me) just go find their own labs (and sometime funding) on their own and get started right away. The school also has their own peer-reviewed medical research journal with editor opportunities for med students. People in my class (M1) have already gotten basic science and clinical research pubs out (while I am sitting here over the holidays doing revisions). There are pros and cons to any school, Toledo being no exception, but research opportunities here is a pro.

do you feel like the class is tight-knit and collaborative or is it more cliquey?

I think it depends on who you ask. For the most part the M1 class gets along great. Really, it's like anything where you are around 174 people from many different backgrounds. Some people will annoy the crap out of you, some people you just don't get, some people will be your new BFFs, some people don't show up for anything except tests, some people sit in the front row every day bright and chipper, and some people go out every night. Some of the people I have met are truly some of the most remarkable people I have ever met in my life. Overall I would say that our class is tighter than what I expected. No one is trying to sabotage anyone (can't say the same about the M2 class) and because of the pass-fail system, everyone shares helpful resources, and the feel is pretty "we're -in-this-together" "com bi ah" feel. For the most part we are getting pretty tight with the M2 class, though I think they suffer a little from a small #truegunner clique. Even the people that annoy the crap out of me are super great people at their core (and can be fun to be around... in small doses...). It's a really great situation to be in where the only thing I can complain about is that some people are annoying but still great people at their core.
I think any school with a pass/fail system has a better chance for a collaborative / non-competitive feel. I think I lucked out a bit with no truly terrible people in my class (edit: unless it's me and that's why I am unaware!).

Okay I have to ask cause its killing me....
Is the post II acceptance for OOS applicants really as high as the spreadsheet says? I really want to have a decent chance at this school after being waitlisted from another top choice.

Sooo I made the spreadsheet and the data is from two cycles ago. They should update it with the last cycle's data in March-ish. Right now, the data reported is accurate but know it changes through the years. (it's from US News and World Report)

accepted and trying to activate my account, seems to not recognize my rocket ID number/cannot find my account. Anyone else have this issue?

yeah I got accepted in early November and still can't activate my account - they're going to email us when we can set them up apparently

Has anyone who interviewed on 11/08 heard anything back yet? I'm only 8 weeks out from my interview but seeing that some people waited 15+ weeks makes me think it's going to be a while before we hear anything back yet..

Unfortunately, I would get comfortable waiting. I interviewed about a month prior and haven’t heard either

11/08 here and nothing. I imagine it will be a while.

Have they sent out pre-II R's yet? Complete late August and haven't heard anything :/.

So I just gave the admissions office a call and asked about when they think I’d hear back. She told me that I was under final evaluation and that I should hear back anytime and by next week for sure and that there were 3 other people at the same stage. I interviewed on 9/30 for reference so maybe the other 3 could be some of you guys. Good luck everyone, the anxiety is real now.

Thank you for the information! I might call next week, as I interviewed a few weeks after you and I am also curious haha
I will update on here if I do
