I received an "application complete" email on 7/23 about 2 weeks after submitting my secondary on 7/6. Is that what you mean?complete date?

Yes. That’s when your app was complete. Congrats!I received an "application complete" email on 7/23 about 2 weeks after submitting my secondary on 7/6. Is that what you mean?
I was complete 7/4 and just got an II last week. I wouldn't assume they've moved on yet - the cycle is still young!OOS LM 72 and complete pretty early 7/6, seeing a bunch of people with later completion have II's so I'm assuming they've moved on 🙁
I just threw up a little. Cue the eternal panic.rejected, complete 7/8 oos
Oh no! I'm so sorry!rejected, complete 7/8 oos
Is this their first round of rejections?I just threw up a little. Cue the eternal panic.
Curious about this as well. I asked a current student and she said expect a lot of “creative” type stuff whatever that meansInterviewing here tomorrow. Does anyone know if wake has a traditional interview station intermixed with the MMI at all?
NDA so nothing like that can be shared. But if you've had an MMI interview so far, I don't anticipate you being thrown or spooked by anything in this one! You'll be great, raptor.Interviewing here tomorrow. Does anyone know if wake has a traditional interview station intermixed with the MMI at all?
Oh shoot forgot about the NDA lol. I was just curious. I know NYU said there would be a traditional station as well on the website, didn't know if I was just missing it on this one.NDA so nothing like that can be shared. So sorry to hear that. Was that through email?rejected, complete 7/8 oos
yeah they sent an email saying a final decision was reached, the actual rejection is on the portalSo sorry to hear that. Was that through email?
I interviewed here a few days ago.
I LOVE this school. The area is great and all the faculty is so kind. I don't think the interview is anything for anyone to worry about.
But now I'm so worried to hear back haha. I feel I rambled in a lot of the MMI's. My GPA and MCAT aren't that amazing. This is my only MD interview so far and I fear I'll be rejected. Gonna be a hard 5 weeks wait!
Varies, as with every school, until you get the nice juicy Rwhat is the timeframe between completion and interviews? seems to be varied. just wondering since i was complete 07/16
They must have forgot to email me mine. Dang.Check your junk mail people. My II was there.
Upon further consideration, they definitely forgot mine too. Bummer. They must have forgot to email me mine. Dang.
It's probably late enough to be a disadvantage, but not late enough that you have no chance. I'd say if you have essays you can turn around quickly, the cost isn't an issue and you're at least a competitive applicant for Wake it can't hurt.is it too late to apply here
Not at all. I applied over a month later than this and still got in. shoot your shotis it too late to apply here
Congrats!! Do you mind sharing your complete date?II! Really thankful 🙂 Anyone know the best way to get from CLT airport to Winston Salem? Uber can be really pricey from there 🙁
Just checked my inbox, 7/7!Congrats!! Do you mind sharing your complete date?
Did you just get the II or did you get it earlier today?II! Really thankful 🙂 Anyone know the best way to get from CLT airport to Winston Salem? Uber can be really pricey from there 🙁
Earlier today!, why does it matter? just curiousDid you just get the II or did you get it earlier today?

Just hopeful maybe an email was still on its way to my inbox haha, that's it. Thanks and congrats!Earlier today!, why does it matter? just curious
I've flown into CLT and haven't had problems... I'm flying into CLT for the interview and renting a car (if you're under 25, USAA waives the fee or you can look at silvercar which will rent you a car for a v reasonable price out of CLT as long as you're 22)
Whoops I just read the previous threads and the advice was clearly to not fly into CLT. Greensboro is not really an option for Southwest (which offers the most affordable prices in my experience). Did anyone fly into CLT and NOT have problems?

I second the RDU suggestion. RDU is a regional hub for Southwest so the flights there might even be easier to find. Plus, it might look slightly longer on a map but in my experience, the drive is generally much easier. RDU is overall a better airport. You can always fly into Raleigh as well. Its the same distance to Winston as Charlotte, about 90 minutes away. Flights into GSO can vary wildly depending on when you're flying, so don't rule them out so fast. Sometimes its cheaper to fly in through there, and its much cheaper to uber 20 minutes from GSO than rent a car. Just do the math and pick the cheapest option.
I 3rd this. The Charlotte airport is also on the "wrong" side of Charlotte and traffic can be bad to get to the "right" side of Charlotte for the trip up to Winston-Salem. Unless you're flying in between 4 and 6 on a weekday, the drive out of RDU to WS isn't bad.I second the RDU suggestion. When I was a Wake, our department did a comparison of housing prices compared to other medical centers and we were some of the most adorable around. I lived in Ardmore, next to the hospital, and walked in occasionally (could have done it more...). A lot of faculty, residents, and some med students lived in my neighborhood. I then lived in West End (also a short walk) and I had med and PA students living next to me.I just lost an hour of my life to browsing houses in Winston-Salem and I can say with certainty that WF has the best housing market out of all the schools I’ve applied to. I’m really excited to buy a cute new craftsman with a garage and a fireplace so whenever WF wants to send me an interview, that’d be really great.
It’s definitely important to me as an old woman with family & dogs in tow. Some schools are in locations where there’s just no chance of me finding a place without 2+ roommates. That’s... not at all ideal, to say the least. When I was a Wake, our department did a comparison of housing prices compared to other medical centers and we were some of the most adorable around. As someone who has lived near Boston most of their life, seeing that you can get an entire one room apartment for the same cost (or even cheaper!) of a closet with 2+ roommates here makes me REALLY want an interview.

Fair! Although my coworker from the Bay Area has a friend living near SF that is actually paying less rent than she is here. Things are getting even worse in Boston rent wise 🙁
When I lived in the Bay, I ALMOST lived in half of a living room. Instead, I used WAY too much of my salary to pay for an overpriced small room. It's bad there. My condolences.bay area native would like to have a couple words...
Generally the further out of winston you go, the more space you get for less money. If you have school age kids I'd recommend the Clemmons or Meadowlark areas to the west, or Kernersville to the east. It’s definitely important to me as an old woman with family & dogs in tow. You can’t check the status. They just email you if you get an III don't understand where to check the status of our application. The portal seems very outdated -- should we be looking at "view checklist" --> "
MD Application Checklist Status"?
