Hi! I was just accepted this afternoon- OOS. I did not email my interviewers but emailed Dr. Callahan after my interview. Hope this helps!

This is true. It all depends on whether or not your faculty interviewer shows up to the committee meeting. It took four weeks for me.

Wednesdays only as far as a I know. Rs, IIs, As, etc all seem to come out on Wednesdays because thats when the committee meets. They seem to be very decisive in these meetings lol

Invitations for interviews are extended between September and April. If you are granted an interview, you will receive an email notification from the Director of Admissions.

This sounds like EXACTLY what I've been going through except I submitted late July. I know some people that go to T20 schools that got interview invites here in Jan-Feb last cycle so I'm trying to remain hopeful but it definitely hurts a little.

Alright, awesome. SKMC is one of the lowest yield schools in the country and protects their yield very heavily. Good that you're applying to schools within your range as well!!

Sending pre-II updates varies by school. For example, Baylor only accepts pre-II updates, while Keck does not accept any.

I sent an update to SKMC because a few posts above said that they like hearing updates from its applicants to gauge sustained interest. I'd only send if the updates are meaningful though (i.e. new publications, awards, accomplishments, grades, etc.).

Off the top of my head, Penn State doesn't accept any updates, some schools like Geisinger limit the number of updates you can send (their max is 2)

I don't have a list of all schools, but I know that Kaiser, Stanford, UCSD, and Cooper don't accept them.

My interview is on 12/16 so taking the comment from above, I'd say that's the last interview before 2021.

It seems from this forum that Wednesday's are most likely when you'll hear back about post-II decisions. Timeline seems mehhh. Have seen 1 week to 3 months on here. Normally, most schools get back between 4-6 weeks. With my interview being on 12/16, I think I'll hear back closer to 5+ weeks with holidays following my interview.
