This is my only acceptance but I haven't gotten my Certiphi background check email yet. Anyone in the same boat?
Would someone mind explaining what Certiphi is? Are we supposed to automatically get contacted? Sorry im behind lol

it is the company that runs background checks for the majority of medical schools, once accepted (anywhere) they'll email you to get the process started.

Any jeff students on here recommend having a car?

I’m looking to live on campus at least for M1 so idk if that changes anything
not a jeff student but I am interviewing in Feb so I went and took a day trip there. Almost anything you can ask for is within walking distance to the school, including a mall and a ton of restaurants and shops. There are also a ton of apartment buildings and residential halls by the school. Idk if that helps but the area is awesome and it looks like we may never run out of things to do 🙂

Nope. Looks like only the 12/9 people have, so I would imagine that this would be the first week that they are seriously considering our group. Good luck!
Yep, I think you're definitely spot on. Best of luck to you too!

Hi! I'm not a Jeff student but I've lived near the campus for the past two years. Did a bunch of volunteering and shadowing there as well. As another commenter wrote, pretty much everything you need is nearby. If you're planning on living in center city, or even somewhat near it, I wouldn't recommend having a car. Public transport is good - the busses will take you pretty much everything and they are google integrated so you can see their movements live on google maps. Trolley and subway are also great.
A trader joes opened up not too far from campus as well. If you live south of campus you'll be close to some other grocery stores (ACME and whole foods). Plus there are loads of gyms in that area as well.

I'm happy to answer any questions about Philly 😀 Love that city so much.

I interviewed 11/18 and still haven’t heard back. Really hoping today’s that day!
Honestly, my best guess is that while they try to get back to applicants based upon what group interviewed first, nevertheless, they likely need the student/faculty individuals who interviewed you to be at these meetings on Wednesday in order for you to get a call back. I imagine that there are some interviewers who are busy with XYZ and thus are unable to attend these meetings, prolonging the time to get your decision back. Trying my hardest to remain optimistic about the decision timeframe as you can probably tell hahahahahaha
