Anyone still waiting for their letters to be marked "received". I emailed them earlier this week regarding this but haven't gotten a reply yet. I was wondering if I should call. Anyone has had the same issue ans what did you do to get this resolved?

They take quite a while to mark them as received. From previous posters on here who have tried to contact them about the issue and they respond with basically be patient. Mine took about 1.5 months to have a green check mark.

That would mean I might not get the green check until November. There goes my shot at Miami. Bummer lol.

I emailed them about this and a week later my letters were marked. It took 1 1/2 months to get the green check.

I got the green check marks as soon as I submitted the secondary (about a week after submitting the primary for Miami). I used Interfolio for LORs, maybe that is making a difference? All my LORs for all schools were received fairly quickly

All of my letters were sent through AMCAS. Did you send your letters directly to the school? Did you submit your secondary when they just started sending them out? If you did, maybe that might explain the quick review? I submitted mine a week or 2 ago so I am just assuming that they are backed up.

My letter writers uploaded their letters onto Interfolio. Through Interfolio, I sent those letters to AMCAS. I did not directly send letters to schools. I submitted my secondary around 9/25.

I'm taking it as no news tbh. How can they R us without scoring us?? Maybe they're saving the easy IIs for last 😉

In past threads and with reapplicant posts in this thread, it seems as if not being scored is their version of the silent R....(hoping i'm wrong).

I have an interview here coming up! Could you tell me the format of the interview? The schedule looks like there’s two separate interviews each an hour long. But I don’t know how many interviewers or the format

Two one-on-one interviews. One is situational judgement/ethics based questioning and one is more open discussion about your application and background.

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could help me figure something out. So I think I was invited to interview at the University of Miami MD/PhD program. I didn't get an email but I occasionally check my application portals for fun lol. This is the message written under the MD/PhD heading in my application portal: Your Application has been reviewed by the MD/PhD Admissions Committee at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and you have been shortlisted for an interview. You will be contacted via email to schedule an interview on one of our interview dates.

What do you guys think? Does shortlisted mean I got one or that I might get one?

That's what this sounds like. Keep us posted.

FWIW y’all I was scored early September last year and eventually got an II late October. But that was on last year’s schedule, this year seems to have been delayed several weeks, both because of the covid-related primaries being pushed back and also some administrative delays.

From my own (limited) experience and what I’ve noticed in the threads over the years is that they book interviews ~ six weeks out. I’ll ask around in admissions and see what they say.
Does being "Scored" have any implications like others are speculating? I have not been scored although I have submitted earlier than most

It doesn’t mean that you can expect an II/R soon after but it is a positive sign as there are some people who never get scored and get a silent R basically.

Sooooooo just to clarify if your app says "Your Application has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Applicants will be invited to interview based upon their evaluation score from the Admissions Committee review. You will be contacted by email if you are selected for an interview. Interview invitations are extended between August and March. " This means I was scored and if my "score" is good enough possible interview invite ?

That is correct.

My status says "your application to the UM Miller school of medicine is complete and currently being reviewed by the admissions committee" but went from grey to highlighted green. What does that mean exactly?

Next step will be "has been reviewed"

So far some of my friends that also go to UM undergrad and are in-state have gotten interviews. Haven't heard of anyone else, they're behind a lot

How much did I shoot myself in the foot by only submitting my secondary here yesterday.. 😢

How long is the wait after that usually? For an II or R
Not too sure. I’ve only been scored so it’s neither a R or II yet. I’ll def keep y’all posted if something new happens. My best guess is that I should hear something within 2 weeks, but it’s just a guess.

I've been scored for quite a few weeks and haven't heard anything yet, FYI.

+1. From previous threads/other posts many people have been scored for quite a bit of time before they hear back

Been waiting over a month and a half lol.

"You guys are getting scored?!"

I wasn’t “scored” until December-ish (I completed the secondary in August) and I have some classmates that never had their portal changed. It took another two months for me to receive an II. I have noticed and ~I think~ Miller tends to score/invite their own UM students/Miami locals sooner if they’re competitive students, but eventually they get to everyone else. Obviously this doesn’t happen consistently, but it’s a pattern I’ve noticed when I’ve looked at my classmates interview day pictures (they’re posted in our hallways outside of the auditorium lol).

I would try not to read into it too much or stress about the process. If you’re going to get an invite, then it will happen on its own! For my own sanity, I only checked the portal every couple weeks to make sure I didn’t miss any correspondence/have things go into my junk mail. It really helped ease some of the anxiety with the process.

When I interviewed they said they accept updates if you have any drastic changes like publications, posters, or awards.
I submitted an update with a research pub in October and I would recommend telling all schools where you sent an app. It may have helped with my odds of getting interviewed/accepted at Miller. Who knows ‍♀️

How did you send the update? I can't find anything on how..

Another n=1 for those wondering about times between complete, review, scored etc:

Complete 8/5
MD under review (green text) 9/30, MD/MPH under review (green) 10/2.
Scored 10/15.
Hoping for an II soon!

I got an email from Miami, then I read the rest of the subject "Public Health Career Panel" 🙁
