I specifically remember them saying they did NOT want letters of interest during my interview.

I don’t think that’s true. They said they don’t want letters of intent until after you’re waitlisted but interest and updates are fine. There was a very explicit distinction made between intent and interest Letters.

I see. Thanks guys

In general, wonder what the use is of a letter stating... 'I would still go here.' one would think that notion would be obvious enough from whether you have or haven't withdrawn an app post-interview
I would think youd have to couple it with some significant updates for it to make a difference, but I never got the sense that they don't like or allow these letters post interview. They just don’t want ones saying I'll come here before even waitlisted bc that's prob not that genuine (most schools haven't sent decisions or even all of their interviews by Dec for you to be able to say that's your absolute #1 choice)

This might sound dumb but how does everyone's secondary portal look like, once submitted? I submitted end August and ever since when I log back in the only thing I have access to is the email telling me "Thank you for submitting your secondary" and the only thing I can do is "Reply to this thread". Maybe a soft pre-II rejection?

Mine looks like a "normal" one where I see all the tabs and what I inputted. I'm not stuck on an email page, maybe contact the admissions office if that's the only thing you can see.

I was waiting to see if that was "normal" or not to email them, just did ! Thanks 🙂

During my interview day, they said some ppl will get a decision in January, but the majority will find out in Feb/March. I’ve also heard Sinai in particular is expanding how many people they interview & having more interview dates, so they might be interviewing into Feb
Did they say who will hear back in January? Is it people who interviewed earlier in the cycle?

(Disclaimer: I might be misremembering). I'm under the impression that everyone will receive an email -- with A, R, or decision still pending (this isn't WL, it literally means decision still pending).

how are the interviews for this school? just wondering as mine is coming up.

Really chill, conversational, and done before you know it cus it's pretty short. Questions are about you and your background and your activities so just know yourself is all I can say. Students are really cool and down to earth

If I'm sending an update letter should I just upload it to the portal? Or should I also email it to the admissions email? First time sending an update letter so not sure what the protocol is.

i wrote one last week and uploaded it to the portal under document upload! i personally don't think an email is necessary if they have a specific place for update letters on the portal 🙂

When is it recommended to send update letters, before or after an interview invite?
many people recommend sending updates only if you've been placed on the waitlist. Some schools won't look at updates pre-interview as your primary AMCAS and secondaries should be enough for them to make a determination for an interview invite. However, each school is different. If you feel it is an important update, you should send it.

Got it, thank you!

Legit me rn wondering if the lack of emails I've received means I got a silent R
