Did you guys send the same thank you emails to both interviewers you had? Kind of hesitant because I am not sure whether or not there is communication.
 
For anyone who interviewed, did they say when we can expect to hear back after interview day?

i sent slightly different ones based on the conversations we had. only one of my interviewers replied though. I think you can also just email the admissions office for both of them too!

This is from MSAR: "Students on the wait list are frequently reviewed with the potential of being accepted into the entering class. A significant number of applicants from the wait list are accepted each cycle."

Assuming here waitlist equates to those receiving post-II hold-- hope this helps!
 
Penn State does not accept any updates from applicants as I understand it. However, do they accept additional letters of recommendation send through AMCAS?

During my interview Friday they said "the sources you may have seen said you will hear back in 6-8 weeks, it is actually more like 8-10 because we are backed up."

Can anyone confirm that the post-II hold is the same as a waitlist?
 
Anyone else get the email:

WARNING: Take a 'Closer Look' at Penn State College of Medicine - University Park Curriculum Track

Feels odd I would receive that as I am still waiting for interview results.

Came in at 1:40pm today (12/22)

yeah i did too, still waiting on interview results as well. interviewed 12/9

did anyone interview and not get this email?
 
Interviewed early December and didn't get that email. I also applied to the UP track, so that could be why?
 
hey guys! for those who have already interviewed, i found this link and thought i should share because it looks like all of the faculty email addresses are here. i forgot to ask my interviewers for their email addresses, but if you search your interviewer here, i think these should be their email addresses.

Ooof, looks like I am going to get a decision the day before classes start.

Post interview in the portal I noticed green check marks before my interviewers name. Now I go on the portal and the check marks aren't there anymore. Is this the case for everyone? I just want to make sure I did not like forget to check out and the whole interview day didn't count hahaha.

That’s normal for the portal that they use. Not sure what it mean but it’s not bad lol

hmm, I honestly am not sure. I wasn't regularly checking my portal, so if they don't send emails updating about the 'hold' status, it's entirely possible I was and just didn't realize it
 
OOS who has only heard silence ... any insight on what a strong OOS applicant looks like- any current students or OOS who interviewed have any info? thank you in advance
 
Do you get an email if you get on hold? and is this a pre-II hold?

It was laid back and conversational for the traditional interviews. Don’t worry and just enjoy the vibe of the school.
