Anyone know when they send out acceptances or more or less how long it takes and what date they are on ?

Looks like last round of As was on Jan 5 and the latest date I saw mentioned was mid-Nov. I think they say 6-8 weeks generally but some people have said that it's taken longer

I heard 6-8 weeks on interview day, their portal says 6-8 weeks, their webpage says 6-8 weeks, I emailed admissions and the reply was 12+ weeks, and for me next Monday will be 14 weeks with no word back.

Interviewed yesterday with 2 ortho surgeons! Intimidating at first
However ended up being extremely nice people
Talk about your app and answer their questions directly
But overall chillest interview so far!

Does anyone know when I will hear back?

Did you apply for the ortho accelerated program?

Did you apply for the ortho accelerated program?

I did check the box for that accelerated program but I also checked off accelerated family med and EM
Also my interviewer said that I would make a formal request to enroll in the accelerated program once accepted

FYI
I’ve talked with current students who say that penn state try to match you with an interviewer that may have a similar profile

Did you get an email for this? Or was this just on your portal?
I got an email this morning stating that I was being placed under "continue to review" category. Im pretty sure this is just PSU's hold.

Anybody else who has a decision pending just get the email that starts with "Hello! Congratulations..." but then its an invite to a Zoom talk about the UP track / curriculum? Loved my interview day so my heart was racing!

Yessss I had the same email but interviewed this past Friday :///

Pre-II hold this AM. Complete 09/06. Stats and info in signature! Good luck to you all. May the application cycle gods be on your side 🙂

17 weeks?! The students told me 6-8 weeks and the admissions 8-12. I’m at 7 now and I’m already losing it!
Yup 17 weeks! I have no explanation lol. I reached out to admissions but ultimately didn't get any answer. I'm really hoping I hear with the next round of decisions. I had a really good interview experience too and felt like I got on with my folks really well

Does anyone know when they're "holding" until?
I was placed on hold in November, when it was still review after Dec 1.
How long does the interview cycle typically last at Penn State?

I’m confused though, how do we only have two weeks to accept? I hear back later for many...
You are allowed to hold more than one acceptance until April, so no risk at accepting as they come in.
If you get an offer from a school you clearly don't like better than a school you already hold a seat at, you may also decline new offers.

So if I'm on the WL for another school I can accept the A at PSU and still be able to wait to see if I get off the other WL? This is my first MD acceptance so unsure of how it all works
