Heads up, I waited 2+ months for my complete email from Penn since they said in the submission email that it would take several weeks to be marked complete. I reached out and they said they were missing my CASPer score, so double check with them if you haven’t heard anything for complete status. Patience is a good quality, but bit me in the rear. Good luck fellow applicants!

Ohmygosh I didn't realize that they required CASPer. Thank you so much!!
 
Any advice for the interview or how it is structured? Or about vita? I had my interview in about 2 weeks 🙂 greatly appreciate any advice !!
 
I'm in state and completed my secondary early October. I know its kinda late but was wondering if anyone who applied this late and is instate heard anything back. I lived in the area and worked there so I was hoping to hear back sooner.
 
complete 9/7 and haven't heard anything back, OOS but went to undergrad in Philly - does anyone know if this means anything since people complete after me are getting IIs and I seem to have been overlooked??
 
wattup yall i gotta question. I havent heard anything at all (completed 9/2)

however, i want to tell Adcom that i intend to choose this school if i get into the 3+5 ortho accelerated program. Yall saying that they dont accept update letters, does that mean I cant submit a pre-II letter of intent?

They dont accept updates, and either way I wouldn't recommend telling adcoms that because it comes across as a very conditional interest and kind of naive....you have to be an applicant they are interested in as a medical student first and foremost

was hoping a letter of intent would increase the chance of an II but yea i see what ur sayin too tho
 
Does anyone know when decisions will be coming out? Are they saying anything in recent interviews?

I interviewed 2 weeks ago and I feel like they said 6-8 weeks but not entirely sure (might be confusing schools)
 
still waiting to hear back on my post-II decision. does anyone know how vita is considered in the final decision?
 
Pre-II hold 🙁 completed in early september. Does penn state use holds as soft R? I know they do pre-II Rs as well but it’s a bit unclear for me
 
pre-II hold and during the sdn blackout as well. Gave me an hour or so to think about it before coming on here lol.
complete mid-september because I forgot about them needing Casper and got suspicious when i didn’t receive a complete email.
 
Pre-II hold today, complete in October (I know...I'm mad at myself lol).
 
Just out of curiosity, did the people that were put on hold say that they were interested in one of the Penn State accelerated pathways?

I have had complete silence since I was complete early Aug and said I was interested in the clinical investigator pathway.

Thank you so much for sharing this. Apparently, I made the same oversight. I just sent them my CASPer score. Hopefully, they mark me complete soon. I think I’ll send an email Thursday to confirm.
 
When I applied I said I was interested in some of the 3+3 programs. Is it something that is more of a generic interest? Or will they make me commit to one during my interview? Not sure if I can make that serious of a commitment this early haha.
