Just finished my interview. It was pretty relaxed. As others have said, it was a 2-on-1 faculty interview with one interviewer open-file and one closed-file. All the questions were pretty standard and the rest was pretty conversational.
They said they plan to review us next Wednesday and let us know if we're accepted by Thursday.

Those who have interviewed, who did you send thank-you emails to? Just the two interviewers?
Also, does anyone know what the post-interview acceptance % is for IS?

You mean 517? GPA?
If you are on a mobile device, you might have to turn your phone sideways to see the signature (it's the grey text that shows up under whatever they posted). For ex. the person you asked about stats has a sig that says GPA: 3.96, MCAT: 510. Some ppl also put info about how the cycle is going for them (# of secondaries, IIs, As, Rs, etc). Hope that helps!

Does anyone know if they accept updates?

Hi! I interviewed here in November and was waitlisted. Not the high priority waitlist, just the normal waitlist. Does anyone know what the chances are of getting off the normal wait list? This is my top choice school

Does anyone know if it’s a thing here to ask if any spots for earlier interview dates open up? I’m scheduled for March, but this is one of my top choices so I’m enthusiastic to interview earlier!

Interviewed last Friday (1/8) but didn't get a call today :( Does this mean a probable waitlist/rejection?

Update: Just got the email that I've been placed on the waitlist. Anyone know how much movement is typical from their waitlist?

Waitlisted! I wonder what the stats are between priority and regular waitlist 🧐
There's a priority waitlist? Do they notify you which waitlist you're on? My email just said I've been placed on the waitlist, but didn't differentiate anything else.

I believe that people earlier in this thread said they’d had “priority waitlist” while others just had “waitlist”

how do this school compare to lewis katz temple? asking because both are located in philadelphia (cooper is about 10 minutes away) but i have never heard of cooper medical and temple only in the context of basketball.

cooper is pretty big around South Jersey and they are a tight knit community of students. from what i gather they are very mission oriented and serve the local community in and around camden which is considered underserved. Temple is a great school as well and serves the north philadelphia area, which if im not mistaken is also in a rough part of philly and the community there needs more healthcare in general. Temple is ranked better from what i understand in terms of program directors ratings. overall, i'd say that they are similar, but with temple you may get more of the traditional campus feel and amenities since its a bigger school overall. this all just my quick research, anybody is able to correct me or add ..

Hi all. Apologies if I missed this, but anyone know of any movement off the waitlist yet? I was waitlisted a few months back and just wanted to check-in. Thanks!

to those who received an acceptance call, around what time did you receive it?

Can anyone who's interviewed give a general overview of what to expect or any advice, please??
hi! I interviewed back in nov and got accepted. like what was already stated by someone else, it's one 30min interview with two people. I happened to have a physician/faculty member and one m4. the physician knew my app very well and was super friendly/affirming. student was super sweet and supportive as well. i think one of the most important questions that you should definitely be prepared for and express passionately is why you want to attend cooper. the students and faculty are super passionate about cooper and the community so keep that in mind. prepare all the other typical questions like why medicine, review your secondary essays, know your activities and be able to share reflections and what you've learned. I think it's also good to have in mind something they wouldn't know from your application, like a hobby you love. i know people always say 'be yourself' but personally while i think that advice is valid, it doesn't really say much, so I'll just add - talk about what you care about, love, and are passionate about. Because if they can see that you really care about something, that already makes you "interesting" and everyone will have a good interview experience, even the interviewer :) don't be nervous! just let them see what it is that makes you tick and that you are very interested and enthusiastic about this school and medicine

I'm from around Philly so I would say while Temple has an undergrad campus, it's still fairly integrated into the city and is located more north of center city. Temple students I know don't live 'on campus' per say but live in center city. Cooper is literally across the river from philly and is super accessible by patco (train/subway that runs through south jersey and center city). Students at cooper live in philly, south jersey, and some in camden in student housing. Both serve disadvantaged communities. Personally I have a better impression of Cooper and I do think the two schools' curricula are quite different (temple is still all lecture based i think? don't quote me on that). It also seems to me Cooper is a very close knit and caring community and I've heard only positive things from current students and alumni. I think bc Temple is located in philly with many other big name hospitals like Jefferson and UPenn it gets overshadowed but Cooper is really loved and well known in south jersey
