Hey guys! 🙂 I am a Canadian applicant, I am complete at this school and have not heard back. Stats: 3.8 GPA, 510 MCAT. Is there hope?
 
Hi you guys! So I am trying to schedule work around my interview and orientation. I have my interview on 10/7 and orientation on 10/12. For interview day, was there anything else you did other than the interview? How long did the orientation take?

Your score doesn't reflect you or your intelligence, it reflects your study habits and how you prepared for the exam. I have no doubt you can retake it and get above 500. Scoring below 500 means you have gaps in content. Study the content, do all of AAMC and you should get a 500+

I personally also scored low the first time (499), I retook it and got a 507 (msg me if you need anymore help)

Rowan's avg MCAT for 2019 class was 505. Below 500 doesn't look good unfortunately but if you have strong ECs or somewhere else to make up for that, you may still have some luck

hey! how does a 508 and a 3.56 in the GSBS program look to ya???? rowan is my #####!111111111111 choice and I don’t know im just feeling meh because their interview decisions seem so haphazard to me
 
Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back from the admissions committee after an interview?

I do not like sharing stats for personal reasons...but I was complete June 19th, hang in there 🙂

lol yes, but I still understand people not wanting to share. it very easily (and frequently) turns into a whole discussion or debate on here and some people don't want to be part of that. it's nice to have a gauge but at the same time, there are so many factors to this process, sometimes another person's stats actually mean nothing in comparison to your profile. I personally hate the ORM/URM question, so I get it. and in this cycle, I think that the only thing that is even really important to share is complete date so we know how slow/fast schools are moving. I feel where you're coming from too, but just my two cents. 🙂

gotcha, i havent been around long enough in these forums to see that type of stuff. from what i see its been relatively collaborative over here.

Rowan GSBS? Looks pretty good, mcat is solid. Whats ur uGPA? If everything else is good, your stats should not be a problem

Yes! so uGPA is the problem-I'm nontrad (international relations major, decided my senior year of college to start medicine....and bombed alot of prereqs hence the masters)...hoping they appreciate the upwards trajectory...

This may be related to the overwhelming number of applications they received this year per the adcom. They had about 5000 applications by mid-September. According to them, they receive that number in a whole year.
 
Lmao but do you think going will impact our chances for an II even a little bit?

then I'm just making empty hopes and dreams about this school without even a II. my therapist daydreaming isn't going to get me anything besides sadness and boi i do not need more
 
To Anyone who used the fee waiver, does your “fee paid status” show a red exclamation even though the fee was waived? I am wondering if I am not complete because of the red exclamation? But next to “application complete” there is a green check?

Did you receive the email that said you were complete? If not, I'd call admissions just to make sure. They're super friendly and when I called they sent that email the same day.

Yes, I received an email saying my app is complete and the email subject was "File Complete". This was about 4 weeks ago, but I checked my portal today and still had the red exclamation. I will be sure to call them on Monday, thank you!
 
Has anyone that was complete on or after 8/24 heard anything back? Just trying to see if they got to that pile yet.

Rowan GSBS student here, IS and complete 9/1 but still have not heard back. Worried that they've already gone through the pile too 🙁

Does anyone else's portal have green checks/"completed/submitted" for everything but nothing written for letters of recommendation? I am worried they did not receive it since it does not say completed but it still has a green check
