Honestly I'd say go for it, they're a relatively new program and only sent out the secondary to people 2 months ago

So I got the initial call last week, attended the info session this past Tuesday, completed my VITA Wednesday, and now have a 1-on-1 interview with a faculty member this upcoming Sunday! From my understanding, they all go together. Meaning that if you got a VITA invite, you will be attending an information session and need to complete a 1-on-1!!

Yes your camera will be on and it is interactive, you will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions. My interview was through zoom.

No response or idea when we hear back. I guess bc it is a new school AND bc of COVID, I think bare minimum is like 4 weeks.

Ah gotcha thank you! So I should be excited! I thought it was similar to how UMass did it because if I’m correct (please correct me if I’m wrong) they hand out a VITA invite to everyone.

Each school uses VITA differently. UMass uses it as as additional screening before interviewing. Others use it as a supplement to their interviews (Hackensack in the case). And other schools (Rosalind Franklin and I think Wake Forest?) are using it in place of their interview.

Just be aware that your VITA will be one interview going out to every single school that asks for your VITA this cycle, so prepare for it in that way.

Yeah, I was really surprised and impressed by how communicative the office of admissions was. Usually if a school says you are in consideration for an interview, that could mean anything with regards to timeline, but they were pretty punctual each step of the way.
