In a way, this is kinda nice. Sure, it's unnerving knowing there's nothing you can do to control you own destiny but at the same time, the pressure to submit a stream of increasingly substanceless updates and love letters is alleviated.
It would do wonders for our mental health if the waitlist was ranked and continuously viewable (something like Iowa's).

Yeah I know, I said ranked+continuously viewable. From my understanding, you don't get real-time (or close to real-time) updates of your WL position at Wisconsin but you do at Iowa.
What a current student told me- there are 4 blocks that are 3 months each and 1 of the 4 blocks has to be at another site. You rank the sites and most students get their first choice.
I emailed admissions for schools that I withdrew from without a button

Yes they’re still given out scholarships! I attended the financial aid session and was shocked to have received one later today!
They’re giving them out until April 30th, but like @cayenne911 said they could go out until May - mainly if students who received scholarships ended up later withdrawing
Not sure about the waitlist process for scholarships, but it’s possible I would think!

Hmm, read through last year's thread and see what happened. But honestly, I would say your chances are not the best... but you never know! There could be HUGE WL movement this year

I think higher percentile is better. But I'm not sure if they differentiate OOS vs IS decile ranking or if they combine all applicants into one pool for that...

Higher the decile the lower your rank number is. E.g. the first person in line (rank 1) is in the 100% decile

A decile rank assigns a number to a decile:
The higher your place in the decile rankings, the higher your overall ranking. For example, if you were in the 99th percentile for a particular test, that would put you in the decile ranking of 10. A person who scored very low (say, the 5th percentile) would find themselves in a decile rank of 1.
