2020-2021 Toledo

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Anybody else who interviewed in February/early March who hasn’t gotten a response yet? They can’t be full blaze just yet.

Yeah those of us who interviewed in February and the first few days of March are supposed to hear back today. Hopefully you’ll hear some good news soon.
I think you'll hear back today for sure. I am wishing you all the best!! People have been accepted early-mid afternoon before. I think it is coming for you soon.

Don't worry. Keep them updated about your intent, I'm expecting there will be a big wave of acceptances from the waitlist just like last year. Many others and I got in this way.
Do you know approximately how many IS versus OOS are accepted per year and is there a preference for IS?

When do you guys think the next batch of acceptances are coming out? I interviewed on 3/19 and I haven't heard back yet. It'll be 5 weeks this Friday.

Yeah I ii on March 23 so a bit later. I’m wondering if anyone who interviewed on that day or later heard back yet?

I did that week as well and we were told 2-4 weeks but I'm guessing we'll start hearing next week since folks on the 19th got word this week.

Yeah that makes sense and I was told 2-4 weeks as well. Probably will go week by week and of course some will have to wait longer but can still get an A🙂

Sorry if this has been asked already, but does anyone have a link or copy of a PDF for Toledo’s match list? I know they have rocket trajectory and some other resources but those make it difficult to compare match lists across different schools.
Also, can any current students elaborate on how AOA works at Toledo?
Check out my post, I talk about Toledo's match list and various other stuff about toledo here --> 2020-2021 Toledo

And AOA is determined purely by your third grade performance (evals + shelf exams + other random minor assignments) and step 2 ck scores. Preclinicals and step 1 are both true pass/fail so will play no role in determining AOA. Top 25% of class will be invited to write an essay about your ECs, leadership, commitment to service, and future direction as a physician. Then, of these 25% (43 students), approximately 25 students will be chosen to be AOA based on their essays.

Currently AOA is given out on september of M4 year. But faculty leadership are trying to move it to an earlier date for you guys so that AOA selection is done prior to ERAS application deadline.

Do you know how many incoming M1s receive scholarships? The general College of Medicine scholarship application is due on May 31, and I only received loans in my financial package. So, I don't know if I will get aid from Toledo until June(?).
I am trying to determine if it is worth betting that I will get some sort of scholarship from Toledo, and withdrawing from my other acceptance (which is roughly $50K more in total COA, but a "higher ranked" school).

That's something that is not really disclosed to the students so I can't say for sure unfortunately. I would just straight up email the financial aid office, explain your situation succinctly (especially your urgency in making a decision), and ask for their advice.

Any acceptances today? I was kind of thinking those of us who interviewed late March would start hearing this week.

Hey, where were you able to find the general college of medicine scholarship application? Mind dropping the link?

Thanks for posting the link! I'm also relieved to see they moved the deadline back to May 31...I think a while back the deadline was posted as end of April
Yeah, you definitely have some time to complete it. But I would do it ASAP as I believe some are rolling! Don't make the same mistake I did haha
