Yea idk what the hell is going on. I think they sent out a bunch of "acceptance range" emails for people who interviewed on those dates already. I thought that boded well for those who didn't hear anything. However, yea now its been like 10-12 weeks and people who interviewed later have already been given acceptances so idk what to think anymore
I don’t check my portals with any regularity so I’m not sure. I got the email and then checked my portal. I don’t know which came first.
Was it this cycle? Do you know how long after the interview that person found out about the rejection?

Stats aren’t a factor after getting an interview.
It's misleading to say it isn't a factor. It isn't as important but it most definitely is a factor according to the AAMC's data on how admissions committes evaluate applicants. Your reviewer pre-II may have liked you enough to overlook poor stats but the entire admissions committee may not be so merciful and choose to reject you for low stats anyways. This isn't that uncommon, I'd imagine, as some reviewers can be sympathetic to poor academic performance from someone who had to work three jobs in college while there aren't enough people on the entire committee who share that view to vote to accept.
This is for sure not true. When they look at your app, it’s a packet and on the first page it’s your name and either on that page or the next, it’s your MCAT score in big bold numbers. Take it with a grain of salt, but that’s what someone from Tulane ADCOM has told me.
FWIW, Most schools (maybe not Tulane), but multiple schools I know of give you a score that is a combination of MCAT/GPA/Application/Interview with various weights in a certain category based on the school. And then they accept people above a certain threshold score. And according to what @HouseJC shared earlier, metrics could definitely be a part of those 4 scores they average. I agree that if you're offered an interview, stats alone will not hold you back though as they've essentially approved whatever metrics you have, but ultimately depends on post-interview scoring system if you get accepted or not.

This is untrue. The interview packet states:
Student Interview and SP is, but Faculty interview at least had my PS, potentially more.
The SP and student interviews are. I interviewed with the director of admissions and he obviously knew everything about my application. I am not sure if the other faculty interviews are open like mine though.

I was nervous as well (interviewed 2/4) but found all the Tulane students and faculty to be very friendly and welcoming, both of my interviews were conversational and everyone seemed genuinely interested in hearing about my experiences.
Totally understand the feeling. From my experience though, the interview was pretty chill and conversational. When I was preparing for this particular interview, I mostly just went back to my primary and secondary apps just in case something came up from there. I'll say just be yourself and tell your story. Lol its a huge, frustrating mystery. Some people who interviewed first week of January have already heard back, and than there are people like me. I interviewed November 13th and haven't heard anything yet
Did you send a letter of intent or an update letter since? I can't believe you have been waiting so long thats insane. I interviewed 02/4 and I'm just counting down the days
