In the email we received from admissions after submitting our applications it clearly said they do not accept updates.

I was wondering if they screen you first to make a decision wether to send out secondaries or not? I applied late I know waiting time for me could resume till February or March. According to the SJT I was a complete sociopath and my stats are low, URM.

woah I JUST got a UC Davis secondary today. I submitted my primary mid-July, and I am in-state (Southern California). I'm very glad to receive a secondary, but it's so late in the cycle, would it be a $120 donation?
Send it in cause you never know. You don't wanna end up regretting it.
If you pass the automated screen, you will receive a secondary instantly (or within a couple days). If you do not pass the automatic screen, then your application will be reviewed by a human (or multiple) who will then decide to give a secondary or not.

Grats to the recent IIs!! Has Davis gone back to July/August (notably low 70s LM) folks recently yet? This school's my top choice.

I got an II on the 12th! IS, URM, non trad with ties all throughout NorCal. I'm a second time applicant, complete 8/3
II today, IS, non trad, Asian? , no ties to the area, hardcore bombed my AAMC SJT

II an hour ago! Completed secondary on 8/15. IS not URM with very weak ties to Nor Cal
Also got an II an hour ago - In-state, ORM, LM82, strong ties to NorCal. Complete 8/5 and got in the 7th percentile on my SJT :O

Jeez, so is the cycle done for them by mid-Dec?
I checked the interview portal today and it looks like a date just opened in February
It's unfortunate that the system doesn't allow us to reschedule when earlier dates open up. Seems odd that they don't allow that.

I would definitely submit. If you got a secondary, it means someone read your primary app and thought you’d be a good fit. By not doing it, you’re just missing a potential opportunity.

Take what I say with a grain of salt because I have no clue, but if they are scheduling interviews into April already, I feel like they are pretty much done. Complete 9/8. No II, no pre-II R. Just silence.
If that's the case then they should just rip the band-aid off and tell us our fate cuz this silence is ridiculously, unnecessarily long 😒

II today! Complete 09/24. Non-traditional (career changer) with lots of ties to NorCal and stats that are within their 25-50% range, according to MSAR. My application is definitely evidence that they actually do a holistic review!
